Agreed. Apparently he's only leaving because he can't get a 2016 Ducati for next season and doesn't want to be on uncompetitive 2 year old machinery again. Surprised he went with Aprillia rather than the Kawasaki ride he was reportedly offered though.

Maybe a motogp slot if one of the Aprilia riders isn't able to ride ?(or a HUGE cash incentive ?)
Maybe? Although he will be 33 by the 2019 season if Lowes and Espargaro see out their 2 year contracts. And if Ducati sell few bikes in Ireland they sell fewer Aprilias.
