He's set a low 2:01 at Sepang. However, as no one has tested on Michelins/new electronics, it's all meaningless.

Didn't most people expect them to be going about a second slower this year? That's only 3/4s of a second off the fastest duke in race trim last year...

Interestingly at 2.02.1 Stoner would have been an impressive 7th.

Rain in the last 20mins so I guess most didn't do quick laps, explains Lorenzo's big gap at the top I suppose. Stoner joining the party tomorrow.

Lorenzo was fast all day.
Michelin has brought loads of new tyres to test(obviously), but the front tyres are supposed to be LOADS better.
Stoner on track with the rest for the next 2 days.

2016 MotoGP season will get underway on Sunday, 20th March 2016 in Qatar but the teams will be testing as usual before the season gets underway. MotoGP however announced a few changes in the Pre-Season testing dates ahead of 2016 season. Unlike the previous seasons Malaysian Sepang circuit will only retain one leg of the first test in February while the second leg will take place in Australia. After that teams will move to Qatar where third testing session will take place in the first week of march 2016.

MotoGP Pre-Season Testing Schedule: The first test of course took place immediately after the Valencia grand prix where Lorenzo won the world title. Now Sepang will host only 1 test in 2016 and the second pre-season test is moved to Australia. Moto2 and Moto3 tests will continue to take place in Valencia and Jerez on 10-11 February, 17-19 February 2016. Below is the schedule for upcoming pre-season testing.

MOTOGP PRE-SEASON TESTING – 2016 SCHEDULE

MotoGP First Pre-Season Test01-03 February 2016 Sepang, Malaysia
MotoGP Second Pre-Season Test17-19 February 2016 Phillip Island, Australia

Decent - for quite a few on here , riding Jerez March 5th - 7th , first destination from airport in hire-car race is to the circuit, catch the last afternoon of testing. smile
I would check first, we have had this before and they are not always open to the public, don't be surprised to be turned away at the gates, good luck though, and enjoy the circuit if you haven't been before, its great.
