Not sure a highlight as such...but

Bloke on an R1 with a ridiculously loud pipe, who intimidated all cyclists and mopeds out of his way with theatrical revving, followed by exaggerated slaloming round the cars, approx equiv to the men’s giant slalom, and then did a standing up wheelie from Kennington tube.

Dark visor and no reg plate

Whilst I salute your “skills” and “zorst” I suspect this type of riding only ends one way - kebabed by a taxi or van

I did something very similar last night. Dropped the keys walking away from the bike without realising yesterday afternoon. After 30 minutes of searching this morning, thought I would have a look in the ignition in case I had experienced a brain fart. Amazingly they were still there. This is in the middle of Brixton too so I am buying a lottery ticket today.
Bad idea - you just had more than your luck quota! smile
Bah, thats nothing, I dropped my keys on the street next to the bike, didn't notice for three days , then just as I was suited and booted ready to ride, a stranger knocked on my door and handed my keys to me! In London as well.

sonthe bike decided to throw the red F1 warning light on the way home, strangely this light coming on then made the previously inoperative speedo work again. Very strange! I seem to have light+ functional speedo or no light + non-functional speedo.

Bike rides as normal though, don't know which I'd rather have!

Seerately a scooterist knocked off my duck taped on indicator again.....grrrrr

Slightly breezy ride home today across the Severn bridge and down the M4. Saw one biker on the hard shoulder of the bridge going along at what looked like 5mph presumably due to the wind.

Quick hello (and fist bump) from another biker in Oxford too.

If only, likely when it's removed from the road by Sadiq though. I am still keeping an eye out at the salvage dealer, something lightly scuffed comes in and at sensible money I could be interested...

wker in a car doing 40 in NSL in front of me. I pulled out to pass him at which point he floored it & steered to the right. Gap rapidly decreasing, but past the point of no return, & an oncoming car heading towards me flashing his headlights. Cheek clenching. Perhaps I went for a gap that was a little tight, but quite why he decided to put my life in peril, I just don't know....

Standard unfortunatly. Despite showing it they probably wouldn't feel any remorse if the worst happened too.

Yesterdays ride home was exiting. Got shoved over a metre or so a number of times. At one point, a new bypass seems to act like a tunnel for the wind on normal days so yesterday was a bit mad going against it. The slower I went it seemed the more the wind caught me. So I was plowing on through a very progressive speed in full tuck when suddenly the engine just sounded like it lost huge amount of power and it slowed me down to 60mph. That was some force for it to do that, glad it wasn't sideways thats for sure.

Still a little windy this morning and super busy traffic but overall a good, dry, quick ride in with some good filtering and a couple quick swerves for the ones that don't check the mirrors.

Found out just how much front brake you need to apply to make the arse end of a GS go light this morning. I won't call it a stoppie though.

Slow moving dual carriage way, filtering between lane 1 & 2. Car from lane 2 pulls across to lane one and stops between the lanes (Because there was no space for him to go...) as i'm coming past.

I'm not one to get angry at people making mistakes or whatever but he couldn't even acknowledge me or give a gentle 'sorry' wave.

Stayed in London last night and left my new AT on the street in Soho.

My commuting highlight was walking from the hotel to my office and seeing that my bike was still there.....sad state of affairs.

Almost got ISYBAFT (I saw you but am ******* thick) earlier by some dozy lady on the littlemore roundabout in Oxford who seems to think a green light for a different part of the roundabout means she can ignore traffic on the roundabout, pull out on them and then give them a gobful for the near miss...

Great start to the commute this morning! frown Went to get the bike out the garage only to find I hadn't switched it off properly last night and the battery is flat! furious Just waiting for a fast charge before I ride into work. Hopefully about 30 mins should do it!

At least you didn't do it at work like me the other week laugh

Fkn chilly on the fingers this morning. Any more of that malarky and the heated inner gloves will have to come one. Fingers frozen but at least it wasn't raining.

Bit damp on the way in today but traffic wasn't too bad. Noticeable drop in the number of motorcycles on the road - unfortunately, there doesn't seem to have been as much of a drop in the number of bicycles....

4 wheels: the work of Satan himself - who would want new fangled things like radio, heating, not having to wear a lid or protective clothing..............?

Made it into work about 50 mins later than normal. No big issues but traffic density getting into London is noticeably greater that bit later in the morning. Less builders vans but still lots of people checking their phones!!!

No dramas this morning.

Really should swap for a clear visor now - may even have to chuck the thermal lining in my jacket.

Heated grips already on low, GS has two settings, low or burn.

Have the valve clearances done last weekend (at 54k miles) and I'm almost at 200 miles with no fuel light on, usually flashes up 40 miles remaining at 180ish miles.

I have 2 out of 3 of those on my bike and I don't have to sit in traffic smile
