Might be nice but I’m afraid I can’t bring myself to spend £150+ on a pair of gloves.
You really don't know what you're missing - best £150 I ever spent!sjtscott said:
Some bikers do stuff on the cheap, each to their own. Best £150 I ever spent either. I sat at the lights last week when it was super chuffing cold even in London my gloves on 50% and looked next to me to see matey on his bandit with its old school oil cooled lump trying to warm his hands off the engine block through his gloves. I tried that a few times back in the day, temporary relief at best.
Agreed. Why suffer? Thing is, as I get older, the pain I suffer from getting properly cold hands does not end when they warm up: I find they’re a bit sore for the rest of the day.Add a heated inner jacket to the gloves and ones sorted.
All that time I spent suffering for the sake of a couple of hundred quid was just false economy. I love biking, even commuting and when I think off the thousands spent on machinery and gear over the years only to really enjoy it when warm. Don't care about the temp any more. Dry, ice free roads are nice though.

Can't help but laugh at the irony of your username I too was warming my hands on the engine block last week at traffic lights etc. Some of the arguments above are persuading me....I do commute year round and love biking.

Heated gloves make even more sense if you change bikes at all, putting a new set of heated grips on a new bike soon adds up. If you're a year round commuter it's one of the best purchases you can make.
Well my hand was forced into looking at options because I changed from a bike with OE heated grips to a bike with none and no factory fit option too. Having to turn to aftermarket grips left me with dread knowing two people with Oxford grips that have failed, another who tried the R&G grips and said they just weren't up to the job. So simply the easiest solution was to look at the gloves. Don't regret it for a second - I get to keep standard grips too and its transportable to any bike as you say with the gloves.heterosapien said:
Drift Stealth 2. As far as I know it's not a replaceable unit.
Probably about time I upgraded it anyway, the screen was already shattered from another incident.
The Ghost 4K is pretty decent if you can stomach the cost (10% off via 44teeth.com). I've found it much better than the Hero Session I was using before.Probably about time I upgraded it anyway, the screen was already shattered from another incident.
Indeed, I see it every journey without fail - this evening was something else completely, our lights had been green for a good second or so when they decided to for it!
There are a few of these junctions on my commute where they could station a civvie police officer with a video camera and make a killing!
