Been a viewer for about two years and finally caved to my mates' nagging to get an account!
So, since I read this thread often I thought my first post should be here. I commute from South Bucks into London all year on a fairly dirty Harley Sportster - hence the name.
To the fully boxed out R1200 I stopped for just off of the A40 today, if you're on here - I hope the AA didn't keep you waiting too long and the issue is just a knackered battery!

been about 3 years since last on the bike, been repainting and do other odd's and ends to her... all done, all MOT'd, insured and taxed, thought it would be a great idea to go use her over the Easter weekend, so dragged the leathers out in the week.... yup, they don't fit for st now... my excuse is they have shrunk!!!
Have had a few very boring commutes recently (not that that's a bad thing), just completely uneventful. Only thing of note this morning was the tt in a focus on Tower Bridge this morning that doesn't know how to operate a clutch. Firstly when stopping he manages to roll back a good 6ft necessitating a go on the horn, followed by another 3 foot of roll back as he went to get going again. Far from ideal when you start of 10ft or so behind him!
Also I think today will be the last commute on banger bike, I've got somebody coming over to finalise the paperwork/pay for it this evening, the replacement CBF600 is also being delivered this lunchtime and I'm off on gardening leave from the end of the week...an end of an era!

hate wet raining commutes.
no matter what i do, my visor with a pinlock still mists up, and where i breath out through my nose just ends up covered in water drops
Get yourself a Respro Foggy, I got one yesterday and went out on a 100 mile run late afternoon, and the roads where soaking, and for the first time in 40 years of Biking my glasses didn't fog up with the visor down, £20 well spent..hate wet raining commutes.

Finished for an Easter break some away from home on 22nd March, back to work and the commute Monday 9th April. I still need to clean my bike, something that the weather hasn't been playing ball with this week so far. I know I'll spend two hours cleaning it and Monday coming will just undo it lol
Chain which is the original from new still is starting to deteriorate given winter commuting, experience tells me once the side plates rust up is only a matter of time.. I'll add that to the list along with new tyres soon then.

Stalled the bike on the lights this morning - embarrassing.
Fluffed the restart too - really embarrassing.
Then lost the front on a slow, mid-corner drain cover and had to take a dab. All before 8am. Honestly, its stress I can do without.
And then it fking rained on the way home too. Made more interesting by a chap on a Honda who wanted to race most of the way home and had no regard for his own safety and another chap who appeared to have got his license in return for a goat who had his Sat Nav on his mini-bus mounted DIRECTLY in front of his face. Directly. I mean right in front of it. He had to look around it to make progress. Fluffed the restart too - really embarrassing.

It has but was only delivered yesterday, was also 50/50 on the buyer showing up so was kept the current bike in the garage to use yesterday.By the time I got home and saw it to make sure it rides ok (perfectly bar a broken brake lever - stub left still works) my insurance company had closed so I couldn't switch the insurance cover over
