Sunny but cold this morning, nice to at least have a dry road that isn't salt encrusted.

Bike is absolutely bloody filthy from last week and the start of this, needs a good thorough clean as its first MOT is on Saturday and I don't like taking what looks like a piece of chod there..

Dry roads, NO SALT!!!!! A tad chilly at 5C, but things FINALLY appear to be looking up. I can't remember a winter as long or st as this one - it seems to have gone on forever........
Saturday afternoon looks promising in SE England - methinks a sightseeing tour in the Goudhurst area may be in order.

Good call, I'll head down in that direction today, fancy a change of scenery.
A262 East, then head towards Tenterden, Peasmarsh, Rye..... I do like that part of the world.

Picked up a new bike during Easter, and back in the game commuting on 2 wheels since late last year. And now I have an engine that isn't on it's last legs so I can play again with the regular bikers I see on my route smile

At least now I have something to look forward to when I wake up on a weekday morning, well apart from taking my clients money....

Non commuting highlight, fantastic sunny day. Or this morning to take the winter commuting crap off the bike, then took it for a ride, all good

Fantastic (and very quick) ride in this morning. Dry roads, almost warm and not much traffic, what else could you ask for.

Had a blast with a few mates last night too, Jesus they're a bit too nutty for me. Good to see the winter fairies starting to come out to play smile

First ride to work this year.... call me a wuss.

Great fun, very little traffic (school hols), a nice reminder of why I got a bike.

Only downside was leaving the bag I'd packed with jeans, food etc. back at home. So plus side is I have my phone and wallet, downside is I'm wearing the well padded, rather warm textile trousers all day. In an office.

Summer gloves & no thermal jacket lining this morning!!!!!
It seems tomorrow's weather is now not really making its mind up - BBC weather app alternating between sun & mizzle on an hourly basis....

Blissful today compared to the weather we've been having of late. Nice to have grip and feel under the bike with dry roads. And the traffic was ridiculously light this morning, albeit a bit busier tonight.

First MOT tomorrow on the bike, hopefully the weather will hold enough to have a bit of a post MOT hoon!

Unexpected weather this morning. Freezing and couldn't see more than a few metres in front of me as was very foggy. It was like that all the way to Manchester, once in Manchester it was clear as day.

Back to busy traffic traffic.

First commute in just over a couple of weeks, lovely rain to s**t the bike up completely as expected after cleaning it. Easter school holidays made the traffic lighter but it just shifts the highway queue closer to tower bridge.
Plenty of less than confident bikers in the rain this morning and sure I'd expect people on 2 wheels to take it easy but literally some embarrassingly poor roadblocks, one in particular using so little throttle they got outsprinted off the line by van.

No commuting for me for the rest of the month, looking outside I'm quite glad!

Going to spend some time looking over the new bike tomorrow however and maybe even take it on a little test run Sonya ready for when the new job starts in May!

No MOT on Saturday as the place quoted some cock-and-bull story that the national MOT system was down at 4pm on Saturday for maintenance. I won't be going back there.

Given the bike was cleaned for the MOT as I don't like to present a filthy bike, I've left it at home today, and will take it to another place tomorrow afternoon.

First bike commute of the year. The weather was crap and the traffic heavier than I expected but it's great to be back on two wheels rather then in the "cattle trucks".

I resisted the slight temptation to clean my bike for the first time in 5 months at the weekend, so that was the only thing that made me happy about this morning's wet commute. I had a small moment with an oncoming car turning right across my path (he was turning out of a bus/taxi lane, trying to cross two lines of queuing traffic and the bus lane I was riding in, to get into a side road). One of those nasty scenarios that you just don't expect because "nothing ever turns right there", and the view was poor because of the traffic jam. I don't suppose the driver was expecting a bike to be coming up the bus lane either.

Ditto re not wasting time at the weekend cleaning the bike.

If this weather is still here next week when the kids all go back to school I may go back onto the trains until that strange yellow orb appears in the sky again .

Fed up trying to dry wet gear in an office environment. We have 3 bikers and about 10 cyclists trying to fit all their wet gear onto two postage stamp sized radiators, one of which is in a loo.

We've had what, a couple of days of 15C weather since last October?? British summers seem to be getting shorter, or is it just me getting older & grumpier? The return of endless mizzle is seriously getting me down now...

corrected for us northerners

but agree about summers getting colder, shorter, and me getting grumpier!

Horrible top end rattle started this morning, I noticed something in the background a few miles from home and developed quite loud about half way to work.. 20 or so miles..

2009 Bandit 1250.. hmm.. maybe a new MT-09 to replace it, should last a few years..
