Dry, but cold/damp/slightly foggy air = a smoother running, torquey bike. Enjoyable ride in, today.

Similar one for me this morning. Small (125? – L Plates) bike beeping at me as I sat on the off side rear of a stationary truck on a gentle left hand bend having filtered up. Eventually little bike got fed up of me not moving and went passed me on the wrong side of the road and almost head on into the bus that had been coming out of the junction on the right. Everything then had to come to a stop while little bike attempts to squeeze between bus and truck as he had nowhere else to go. Perhaps he then understood why I wasn’t going forwards!!!!

Some dhead on one of those hateful 3 wheel scooter things beeping his horn at me furiously because I wouldn't move forwards into the hatched yellow box when I had no clear exit.. heading towards Tower Bridge direction outside Metropolis Motorcycles..
Just remember most are ridden on a car license (if the twin front wheels meet a certain spec) they arn't and never will be proper bikers.. they are lower than the usual london clueless/random scooterists on L plates in my opinion wink So that given they approach riding them like driving a car.. just so happens they can fit through gaps their car wouldn't.

Prime example of the genius that is the L plated london rider - think they know better than every other bikers untill they get caught out.
Had one L plated scooter pass me offsiding a traffic island this morning while I went the correct/legal side where the traffic was - I'd already passed him because he couldn't filter for s*it previously. I just repassed him again as soon as I was done with legally making progress and I didn't see him let alone give him an opportunity to pull more crap like that after that.

Persistent nasty drizzle on the way home, not ideal.

It looked wet outside this morning before leaving, thought I'd be OK with biker jeans on rather than the waterproofs. How wrong was I.I'm sat in work now with rather wet balls for the day. The visor as usual doesn't handle wet cold mornings so I couldn't see properly from about a quarter of the way.

At the same time there was a freak 3 mile start stop type que for the cars to join the M56 so it's made it all worth while... I think.

Some totally oblivious mouth-breathing prick who came the wrong side around the traffic island for a Cross Walk whilst the lights for the cross-walk were red. He hadn't seen the red lights, he hadn't seen the pedestrians and he hadn't seen me and about 2 others looking at him wondering what the fk was going on.

I'm no angel but fk me there are limits.

Relatively empty road for the last day today.. schools back Monday. Smooth commute no issues. However not sure why SV650s riders in London all seem to want to prove something about their bikes performance prowess. I caught a guy up on one riding normally and then he wants to 'show' me how fast his bike is off the lights lol
I owned one mate 18 years ago it ain't a 1050 triple lol

Due to a moronic PM scheduling meetings on a Friday from 3-6pm, I have to be in the office today, however, the roads in this morning were very quiet.

Bad news is that my chain is getting very lose and the chain adjustment is frozen solid, I can only assume from the road grime and salt from Winter. So new chain and sprockets ordered and off to the garage next week to get all sorted.

Yesterday there was a crash on the M4 which required the air ambulance. A lot of bikers waiting at the head of the queue of traffic, was almost a mini drag race once the police let us all go.

This morning, there is a guy on an R1 with a Marquez helmet whom I sometimes see commuting into London and he was there today. He was ahead of me and a van changed lanes towards him, he was not a happy bunny. He was shouting and waving at the van, they both stopped and I thought it was going to get to a punch up, but then the van driver decided to drive off, he tries to bash the vans wing mirror but missed and then loses him in the traffic ahead, so a far more interesting commute than normal.
Was that the evening one on the eastbound carriageway ? I saw that heading west at about 6.20pm, they had 1 lane open going eastbound, then about 2 miles further west some idiot in a Cayenne had managed to thump a small truck pretty hard in the rear so another 2 lanes shut eastbound ..... made me happier about the wet ....

Today was grim with the rain but I made it to the new office with just one wrong turn, now need to work out how the f*** i get back on the A40 out of town from here ....... last night went right round all the houses ....
Yes, I was heading Westbound about 5:30pm, was a bit odd zooming along an empty motorway apart from a few other bikers once they let us go.
I saw both of the crashes as well, always heading west at about 6, Blue Ducati Monster if you see me.

Bloody bike is up the fritz again so train commute next week until I can figure the issue and resolve it!
I replaced the battery on my Sporty just under a year ago as the old one was having trouble cranking and was at least 7 years old.....however roll on Wednesday and I've now got the bike's battery light on, throwing the error code of low battery voltage.
Whipped the battery out and popped it onto charge as registered at 11.58 - but on charge it wont go any higher.

So, I'm pretty certain the battery has snuffed it, even though it is only about 9 months old, however I'm now pondering: has the voltage rectifier or even worse the stator (alternator) blown taking the battery with it or has the battery simply failed early due to the stty temperatures and constant rain recently? (ride all weather)
If the back permits I shall have a play about and do some electric testing to the best of my abilities later today, either way, I am not a happy bunny and I don;t want to fork out stupid money on a new battery only to have that fail prematurely due to a different part being busted!

If it's any use I have a brand new (never used) Xtreme XR600 battery that I no longer have a use for. I have one on my current bike and it has been great.

Todays commuting highlight is the first ever motorbike commute for me. Sailed past all the queuing traffic to get in early. It took me a while to get everything packed up but now I've got a bag sorted it will be quicker in the future.

I think there will be a lot more 2 wheel commutes for me.

Yep. Traffic back to busy but it being light and dry makes a whole lot nicer to ride in. All be it I tend to ride more like a d!ck on viagra when it's like this.

Lots of shiny clean bikes out today on the commute..

All the gear.. No idea (how to ride through London rush hour) If you aren't sure how to filter, where to stop at lights etc, the box at the front is for cyclists only. Then just sit with the cars.

Check and confirmed this morning. Mobile roadblock central, its only gonna get worse as it warms up this week lol
I'll start my poser biker count around weds this week I'd say - there was only really 1 that stood out this morning on his shiny red monster and his shiny clean brown leather jack and backpack smile
