Newish ZX6R parked on the road in motorcycle parking bay with no visible security just off Lemans Street, E1. Has MSV stickers on the screen.

Hope it is still there later, the owner should really know better..
The sun is out he probably had a nice ride in.. clearly not a regular/clued up, zero security is just asking for it.

Well BMW are IME very good with test rides.
I'm guessing I was expecting too much over the years with BMW Parklane bikes bit - I found them useless when I went in or called them. Wanting me to pay money for insurance for a S1000RR test ride was the last straw a few years ago. Oh I'm still waiting the call back the guy promised for the K1200S test ride when they first came out too LOL
In any case a close family member lives virtually opposite Bahnstormer in hampshire - he used to know the owner, I should probably just get my test rides from here when/if I can be bothered.
Try Coopers in Tunbridge Wells. They have in general been excellent right through the test ride/purchase/service/support/warranty cycle. The only criticism I can fire at them is that it's often really difficult to get through on the phone unless you have someone's DDI. Try and deal with Chris Gussman if you can. If you go in, he sits right round the corner at the back on the left, past the service desk, where all the new bikes are stored. Good guy, helpful and zero pressure.

Train today for me, immobiliser on the bike decided it wasn't going to let me start the bike today - never had a bike with an alarm/immobiliser that's worked 100% - in future, any bikes I buy with these on they'll be coming straight off.

Thanks for the suggestion/tips given where I am near CW East London thats not so bad for visiting/test rides etc. Next issue is finding the time I have a 1 year old son who's naturally taking almost all my non working time now, I do get let out for good behaviour once in a while though smile

Train into work today as indulging in a few beers after work.

I don’t like it.
The beer will make up for it later.. no pleasure without some pain lol
True.. I haven't got a mesh jacket/jeans so I'd be burning up anyway.

I'll enjoy the beer.

A couple of highlights this morning. Mrs K1 has a meeting in town today, just around the corner from my office, so I gave her a lift in. On my best behaviour when filtering but the traffic was really light (there must be lots of people on “sickies” due to the weather!) so still made very good time.

The low point was the “hipster” on a Hardly Make-It-Son who shot across the crawling traffic from the bus lane that had just finished, without looking, almost straight into me who was filtering up the outside. (I’d seen the end of the bus lane 50yds before and moved over in plenty time.)

I hope you didn't get angry with him apparently this is wrong wink I didn't know this before lol
The clueless wonders are out in force in London given the weather.

My commuting highlight stepping from my living room to my spare room/temp office to work at home today smile I'm not that bothered because our office AC has been absolutely terrible the last couple of days and apparently left accidentally on 'winter mode' apparently and its been like an oven and none of the windows open. I'm cooler sat at home period.

Middle of gardening leave so no riding for me recently.

The banger CBR was sold a few weeks back and I've been doing a little fixing/tinkering to the new CBF600 ahead of the new start next month although fear the majority of the first week will be spent on the train as I find my feet :/

No, I didn't get angry with him, though I did toot the horn as I was pushed out to the oncoming carriageway (luckily no traffic.)

I did the bedroom to study commute yesterday. It's the best commute of all, even though I don't need the bike! biggrin

Finishing up a contract today, only got back to commuting on the bike 3 weeks ago too. As it is my last day, and I have very little to do I rode in late so I could have a good thrash on the back roads and motorway with less traffic, but it seems that it is 'National Drive like a Bellend Day', and/or the heat has friend peoples brains already and the level of muppet driving was off the scale on the way in.....

Now it is time to have a break so I can spend and enjoy my dirty contractor money smile

Very jealous of all you Home workers today. I’m not sure it’s safe filtering on the way home on a sunny Friday night because I can’t see any cars just chilled pints of lager .

Anyway back on topic lowlight/ highlight of the day was watching everyone trying to cope with the preparations for the London marathon this morning, which meant that the entire length between limehouse link and tower bridge was boxed in with cones and barriers which prevented using the other side of the road. Hands up I think I clipped over a cone at one point but not as bad as the bloke on the moped who got caught on the wrong side and was blocked in by the barriers.

Avoid it tonight at all costs going to be horrible.

thanks Dave - that's good advice. My bike left at office last night so I hadn't realised - I shall go a different way although I have no choice but get through Blackheath no matter which way I go

Got rear ended frown guy had been tailgating me for 3/4 of a mile. The traffic stopped ahead of me, I stopped, he didn't. The bike and I both stayed upright but I got slammed forward frown

My tail tidy has taken the brunt of it, my chain looks slack but the wheel looks straight. Don't know whether it's slid in its adjusters.

Rang the insurance and they will call me in the morning. I've only just got this bike running, better not write it off! It has brand new tyres, battery, starter and only just serviced.

Really happy I worked at home Friday then as this is my usual route in.

This morning most of my route covered in post marathon debris despite the roadsweeper trucks clearly being out but at least no cones/barriers anymore. Surprisingly light traffic for a work day with the schools in.
