And today's commuting highlight is...

I couldn't motivate myself to get out of bed this morning. Left the house 15 mins later than usual and still made it to work on time. Really pleasant temperature out there and although today is my last commute of the year I will be taking the bike out to run various errands over Christmas if the weather stays this warm.
Yeah big wake up this morning, the bike also had a near flat rear tyre too which wasn't ideal, considering it hadn't been used since before Xmas I was quite glad it started however!
A quick stop at Sainsburys in New Cross after a "weird" first 5 miles on what turned out to be 13psi pressure was increased back to where it should be - need to get a new rear at some point as I'm square, down near the tread limit and seem to have a slow puncture :/

As others have said, tough to get up, alarm went off at 6.20, finally got out of bed at 7.15, fed the cats, washed and was out the door at 8 .... usually that screws me for getting in by 9 but even with a fuel stop was at my desk at 8.50 .... heated gloves
on lowest setting just enough to hold off cold fingertips

Nice ride in, pretty balmy considering its early January!
No dramas either, still soldiering on with the slow puncture in the now square rear tyre, should really get that and the chain looked at when I have some cash, both don't help cornering confidence (vibration of the chain (hope its just the chain anyway!) creates a vibration in the bike, most pronounced when cornering)
