Now that the weather is starting to warm up I've been getting my bike ready for the summer commute. Looking forward to seeing all my bikers buddies again who never fail to give me a toot and an enthusiastic wave as I carefully filter through the traffic

Got to the office in record time this morning.
Must be half term?
I see the weathers warming up to almost 16 degrees by Saturday. Roads will most likely be busy with the 'first ride of the year' bunch.
Had a few wobblers out already yesterday! Enjoyed it while it lasted Must be half term?

Had a bit of a brown pants moment earlier, went to overtake a dawdling van on a residential street and he swung out for seemingly no reason at all, certainly no indication. Too late to brake so just went full hammer down, just about squeezed through. I should have waited and given him a wider berth when overtaking. Still feel like the van manoeuvre could have been intentional.
Me too. Last night on the scoot I'm squeezing between two stationary cars to get to the front of the lights and they go green. As the cars move off they creep together and I'm literally stuck between the two moving. The bulbous boot on the back of the scoot was clamped between the car rear doors.
I'm thinking 'this is gonna hurt". How the fk they didn't see me I've no idea as I'm level with the drivers. I ended up punching one of the drivers windows to wake them up. By the time they separated we're doing the best part of 25mph. I'm off the throttle just being dragged along. Scary.

Was commuting into Edinburgh on Tuesday, cruising down the bus lane (only redeeming feature of Edinburgh) past the queued traffic. I should have been more on the ball, but a hi top van had left a gap and just as I got to it, a taxi shot through across my bow. Fortunately he stood on his nose and I swerved and just missed clipping his bumper. Was only doing about 25mph but could have made a right mess of the bike. Two rides over to Edinburgh this week and another tomorrow for a Honda Adventure day - will be riding the CB500X, see what it's like!
Just back to work from County Court after sorting out the accident i had commuting 3 years ago (me filtering, car pulling out).
Thankfully liability was placed 100% on the driver that pulled out on me and I should now be well on the way to having my NCB reinstated and payment of damages over the next few weeks (was TPO). The guy wasn't particularly pleasant outside court afterwards with threats to property "I know where you live" etc, conveniently forgetting his own address was on there....
Sods law on the way back to work from Kingston I'm then rear-ended by a L-plate scooterist in Battersea when I anchor on for a kamikaze OAP pedestrian that decides to run at a gap between traffic....nothing more than a small scuff to my bike....thank fk for having a bike I don't give a st about!
