My super scoot keeps getting nicked/vandalised so I've decided to really fk up the thieves by swapping it for this mint CBR600 instead. Hahaaa! That'll learn 'em!
yikes
Indeed. Would be best to buy something like a Thudercat and use lots of tape to make it look like that's what is holding the bike together.

Yeah I've got a standard pipe on the way, and still have the original screen. I am planning to put it back together with new plastics and sell it. Not sure whether to get a cheap crappy scooter that has no nickable bits on it, or a different motorbike.

I could have my dad's cbr600rr below which I figure will be less nickable to these numpties, as most of them probably can't change gear, but on the other hand don't want to see that get knackered too.

Err... no.

Nice bike... lets keep it that way.

Back on the road with an original silencer that is undesirable to thieves. Fortunately I don't think they look too bad compared with some modern efforts. Got my new Michelin Pilot 4s to try out now.

Spray the whole thing bright pink using a rattle can, that might stop the thieving scum from taking an interest.

Why not get a van and just park it up in that? Nice noisy alarm on it, (van) disc and pedal lock it up (disable starter if required) and just use it as an on on street garage.

MOT and tax each year, but just use it to store the bike. Its like a grand max for a decent non rusty van. And if you keep it in half decent nick, you will always get your money back.

Actually that's not such a bad idea, you could paint it with PlastiDip, make it look like a snotty shed but when you're ready to sell, the PlastiDip can be peeled off.

PlastiDip is quicker and easier to apply for the individual, and probably cheaper.

You'll also need to insure it £££££££'s

No doubt the 'perp' will get 6 years, be out in 3 and commit numerous, serious crimes again and again.
If we had proper deterrents/punishments/consequences these sorts of crimes wouldn't be committed in the first instance.

Poor guy. Asleep in his house with his wife. If someone breaks in, the Police and CPS should support whatever it takes to stop the person being in your house a threat. A precedent needs to be set that says, if you commit crime, the victim has our full support.

We've lost another good person and all the bad ones continue to survive.

£30 a month? Vans are ususally pretty cheap. My 62 plate Ducato, 10k van, £212 a year fully comp. my Mondeo, 54 plate, £1500 is £330 a year! Go figure!

About a month ago, I saw some crooks riding an obviously stolen TMax. No plate, no helmets. They turned into a dead end so I turned in (car) to follow them and called 999. Crooks were getting something out of a block of flats. Then after a few mins they left and I headed home. Police did show up a few mins later and phoned me back and asked me to meet them. While I was talking to the police, the two crooks on the same stolen bike came back, saw the marked up police van, and took off again.

Copper eyeballed them, but just continued to take notes off me. He explained that there is not a whole lot that can be done, as is they chase them and they crash, the people who will end up having the worst day are the police themselves who will have to explain it.

It's getting out of hand.
