Excited for this, more so since Nicky Hayden got the nod to fill in for Pedrosa. I'm not expecting loads from him but I'm a big fan of his and it will be great to see him guest star in Repsol colours. Plus with the title decided, everyone can ride the wheels off it with impunity.
EXCEPT, VR and JL. So get your tin foil hats on folks, who is going to help VR and who is going to help JL to second place? It could so easily be a repeat of last year. If Rossi is once again having to race MM despite MM's championship position being decided, will he lose his rag again?
My money is on MM to give it absolutely everything regardless of who is in his mirrors/sights. And either Jorge or Vale wont finish. Havent decided which yet. And if it rains, its Miller time.

It's a shame Stoner has gone back to Ducati, he might have got the nod for the Pedrosa fill in role otherwise. Hayden is the logical and right choice for this seat though.
My money is on Marquez to romp off for the rest of the season and if he doesn't win it, he'll have crashed in the lead pushing too hard. Now the title is won, he can do whatever the hell he wants.
No idea who will finish first loser and don't really care to be honest, as it's not really worth anything in the long run.

Really? I think it should've been given to almost anyone BUT Hayden. He's an ex-world champ (on a Honda), currently riding in a different series, having had a number of years in MotoGP. So why give him the ride when surely there are others that Honda should be looking to bring through given that the chances of getting anywhere near a works bike in the normal course of things are tiny?
Guess they must be worried about the Constructor's title.

No point moving riders out of satellite teams as that causes the satellite team problems. If they did, the one who would be most likely would be Miller, but he's still recovering from injury. No point bringing a Moto2 rider through at this point and the test rider did a pretty poor job in Japan at their home circuit. Hayden makes perfect sense to me.

I can't see Hayden getting much higher than Aoyama (Who incidently was a full time rider for them, and 250cc champion). Although he used to be quick and knows the circuit, he's a little ring rusty. I'd have put Aoyama (just for those leathers) or Cal on it personally. I suspect putting Nicky on it has a lot to do with the marketing side rather than anything else.Hayden makes perfect sense to me.

Hayden has raced the bike this year, and got a point, on the Marc VDS bike. Aoyama cant put the bike near the points, and thats whats required for the manufacturers and constructors titles. He rode on the partially new surface at PI earlier in the year in WSBK's, so knows what to expect. He was also a bit epic round PI in his full time GP days.
Cal was the preferred choice, but both he and LCR are contracted Monster energy personell, so going to a Red Bull backed team was never happening.
I normally koan about BT Sport commentary, but credit to Hewen this morning in Qualifying 2.
Watch JL wobble round on slicks, the discussion turned to "there must be something round with the bike" just as he started another lap.. It was then mentioned that "if there was a problem with the bike, he'd (JL) have been straight down pit lane"
To which Hewen responded with...
"Not if it was north of his eye brows he won't"
I know, I know, cool stary bra and all that... But it had me chuckling
They've also just said that on a almost dry track, JLs time wouldn't have given him pole in Moto3!!

Both Factory Yamahas were a disgrace today.
Rossi let himself down by failing to get out of Q1, Lorenzo shocking. There is no excuse for being 6.6 seconds slower than pole. I think he's done as a rider, he can't continue to race if he can't ride in anything other than perfect conditions.
