To be fair the problem with an R1 isn't the age, it's the brakes. So I've heard anyway.

True but I don't know anyone with one of those who would do me a straight swap for a VFR 750. I'll admit I am disappointed it isn't a 954 though.

Lets keep the 954 thing off this thread, its annoying enough with multiple posts on other threads by the originator. banghead

I don't know if it will be a bit much for you to be honest after riding a Honda for a couple of years.

roflrofl

I'll be interested to see what you think to my little old Honda... I expect it to be bland and uncomfortable as these white goods are ... the brakes are ok though unlike the R1... wink

I'm up for a Saturday one, Sundays are a bit busy for my liking but I will go out, I'm going to do the west coast run if anyone wants to join in, its an early doors one, non of this midday nonsense.

Saturdays are rarely free as I'm working. I can't do this weekend full stop much to my annoyance but any other Sunday should be ok.

I need some decent miles in the saddle.

Are you out then? I'll plan a route, it all depends how long you want to be out for, and the riding you want to do, I'm not keen on fast road work wink

Yeah got a text from Scott. I doubt I'll be doing mega miles like hartside but up for a run out on the new bike. I'll be servicing it on Saturday so it'll be ready for a good run out after being standing so long.

I'm not doing Hartside either ... I need to be back for lunchtime, so it will be an early start for me and then head back around 12... just itching to get out on the blade on some decent roads as I'm getting a strong itch to change the bike ... you know its getting bad when I'm looking at Ducati's fondly...

Last minute desision on Saturday evening to meet up with R1 loon and Hebgbe, I brought my nemesis ( the biker) with me.

We all rode like old men, stopped for coffee loads of times and enjoyed the sunshine.

No dramas for myself and Hebgbe on the upright bikes but I think the other 2 on the R1-M and Panigale were struggling.

No idea why the others were not out

Probably comfort related depending on the roads you are riding ... found the blade bloody rock hard when riding up there last week. The roads are in a dreadful state in places. Everyone is buying uprights now ... when you can get an upright with sportsbike handling and performance you have to wonder the point of using a sportsbike on the road - I certainly am after trying an S1000R ...

Others weren't out as their invites got stuck in the post ... frown (not that I'd have made it - was too busy getting pissed)
