Agreed.
The article was fairly in depth and gave enough views and counter views so it was hardly one sided. Far from character assassination. If Kent has read it hopefully he'll take stock.
I just hope Kent hasn't squandered his career and gets another chance, but after two failed moto 2 attempts it doesn't look good.
It may or may not be the whole truth, but there is certainly enough in there to suggest that Kent needs to take stock big time. The article was fairly in depth and gave enough views and counter views so it was hardly one sided. I did read it. His response was a bit PR and a bit combative as can be expected. Wouldn't expect a full acceptance of it and vows to change ways though. But privately you would be thinking long and hard right now.
If you are lucky enough to have a career like that I would hope you realise how lucky you are and hang on to it. Or not apparently. Time for some soul searching. We know he has talent but needs things to be just right or his confidence goes, his run in to the championship in 2015 showed us how wrong things can go.
Fenati's and MV's situation was a bit different. They had been at the top of their class for a while and talents obvious and got new teams in that class. Kent is in a new class with a poor record in it.
But then again plenty of riders with less success get rides which I suspect is money.
Moto 3 to Moto 2 seems a big and difficult step. There are riders that adapt but it takes times and hard work.

It's not like he has flown off the rails.
The famines of the younger riders are often the biggest problem, as naturally it can't be a problem with thier son / daughter (is the way they see it).
Trust me, it's often a massive problem, and one where many teams insist on no family in garages etc in some riders cases.

The article is accurate, David has no axe to grind and is most certainly not a journalist who just recycles press releases. Far far from it. David is well respected in the paddock.
He's a hack & a tt. In time that'll be obvious to everyone.Edited by pitlane on Tuesday 2nd May 12:40

This one about Danny is no exception in my view.

Didn't Danny Kent's sister slag off James Roseland about 5 minutes after he won the Moto 2 title? The famines of the younger riders are often the biggest problem, as naturally it can't be a problem with thier son / daughter (is the way they see it).
