Perhaps it's just colder where he is?

"Yamaha now have a 1 - 2 in the championship, Rossi from Vinales"

They were 1 - 2 before, Vinales from Rossi. But I guess he doesn't count that order.

Just seen Kent has left kiefer. Seems he wasn't getting on with the team or team member.

Rider of the day for me was Fenati, he had that thing banked right over on it's side, the only rider more aggressive in any of the classes is Marquez!

If Suzuki, or Amy other MotoGP team need a stand in rider, it's unlikely they'd go for someone who was struggling to get a point in Moto2

Are you staying in the RV area at the circuit? I'll pop by and say hello
apologies, just seeing this now - phone service has been pants all weekend.

Was quite a weekend. Scorchio on Friday, freezing crashfest on Saturday and windy AF this morning but roasting hot this afternoon!

Was sitting in front of the VR46/Zarco incident and for me it made no sense to penalise Rossi - he was in front when Zarco tried to ride through a space that wasn't there, punting VR off track.

Nice to see the battles for 2nd and 4th - COTA doesn't seem to be a great track for close racing generally. McPhee pulled a reasonable result out of the bag too, given where he was until the last seconds of Moto3 quali.

They viewed the incident as Rossi making time on Pedrosa and Marquez rather than gaining over Zarco, thankfully the penalty did not matter in the end.

Good race, Lorenzo seems to be gradually getting better on the Ducati race by race.

I thought that but didn't he get duffed up a fair bit by the end.

Opposite. Ambient temps weren't that high and with the longest straight In the championship. I guess they were there to stop the discs being over cooled.

Sadly I must agree. Races lead from start to finish by the same rider are never great to watch. All very predictable, apart from Vinales crash. There was mention of most riders not liking the track.....

I thought it was interesting even if it didn't have the 6 changes of lead per lap we sometimes get spoiled by.

The bumps made everything / everyone look a tiny margin away from binning it (I was expecting marquez to crash when he started opening the gap to Dani).
Constant battle against missing apex with difficult braking zones.
A few lovely corners with all the bikes right on their side and spinning the back wheel (yes, some crap corners too)

Good battle between Marc, Dani and Rossi - cagey maybe, but with the likelihood of another crash, the different tyres. I enjoyed it.
Zarco / Rossi, Zarco / Cal were good battles.
Lorenzo making early ground then slipping back
Ianone getting stronger at the end.

Was a shame to lose Maveric so early, but all in all I enjoyed it.

Did you actually watch the race?

Pedrossa was in the lead from the start .
