Seems like Rossi was a little upset about Zarco's move, telling him; "It's not a Moto2 race."

Rossi needs to be more aware of what's around him, twice this weekend he's not realised someone was there. Vinales in qualifying and then Zarco completely alongside him in the race.

The Vinales one was unfortunate, Rossi just winding up onto a lap and Maveric finishing one - a bit unfortunate, it happens often, but Rossi's fault this time.
The Zarco one, not so sure, it was a little late and Zarco was on a very different line (very early apex that was sending him pretty much straight across the conventional line). I can't blame Rossi for that one, maybe Zarco but more a racing incident?

It was a little reminiscent of but not as bad as Marc's lunge at Assen which ended in Rossi wheeling through the gravel.

If I was a Rossi fan, I'd be a little bit upset with him !
The pace he had after he passed Pedrosa looked like he could have mixed it up with Marquez if he'd gotten away with the leaders.

Getting more impressed with Zarco every race.

It's amazing how zarco gets that bike to go so fast bearing in mind he's backing it in to the corners.

I bet le mans will be rammed this year now they have someone to support.

Just zoomed in on this and it's clear there's a front brake lever and protector and other bits, so looks like KH is for a change correct.

2 levers as highlighted.
Mattia has run various different set ups over the years. Basically he doesn't have enough strength in his right arm to pull a normal lever, due to really nasty injuries sustained long ago.

It was thought he would never be able to be fully competitive on anything more than a 125 early in his career. Much respect for what he has achieved smile

Agree on Zarco, looks very fast although the bike looks good (just behind the works Honda and yam?)

If you look at the lap times, Rossi couldn't do the times Marc did. Rossi's fastest lap was on lap 7, he matched it again on lap14 (which was when Marc was really getting away). When he went for it to gap Dani in the last few laps, he was still 1/2 second off his fastest lap. Marc had plenty in hand, he put in 7 laps at a faster pace than Rossi's fastest.

And Rossi's fastest lap was only 6th fastest overall. I think he worked very hard to conserve his tyres in the first 15 laps.

Looked to me like he kept something in the bag to pass and gap Pedrosa in the closing stages, I don't think he had the pace to run with Marc. He's back to consistent racing and that's what nearly won him the title in 2015.

Zarco has been fantastic. thumbup Wouldn't be surprised if he bagged a win this year.

If we have a few more wet races I think Zarco will be right at the front

I watched the race in Sicily (live) and the commentators were perfect with the ebb and flow of the race plus the usual Italian excitement. Just watched the CH5 UK highlights and the commentary team were wondering what tyres riders were on while Marquez and Pedrosa were overtaking each other, they actually make motorcycle racing boring.

If only they only made it boring. Boring would be a massive upgrade.

Interesting article from David Emmett regarding Danny Kent's fallout with the Kiefer team. It seems we might not see him again any time soon...not in the MotoGP paddock anyway.

That's one long piece of character assassination. I wonder what Kent did to ps off David Emmet?

Emmet is a hack who recycles press releases for the most part.

Really!?!?

One mans meat is another mans poison and all that, but between Emmett and Oxley they are about the most balanced reportrs\opinions I read on the current racing scene in WSB and MGP.

Agreed.

The article was fairly in depth and gave enough views and counter views so it was hardly one sided. Far from character assassination. If Kent has read it hopefully he'll take stock.

I just hope Kent hasn't squandered his career and gets another chance, but after two failed moto 2 attempts it doesn't look good.

Team bust ups? Vinales is now in MotoGP with Yamaha and Fenati is still racing too.
