Not a question but...

I have been using my trusty AGV for 2 1/2 years now - have got used to holding my breath or lifting my visor at traffic lights as my visor fogs up if I don't, something made me google this over Christmas as I figured there must be something that can fix this, low and behold AGV's come with a pinlock in the box (mine was no exception) - Fitted that and hey presto, no more fogging!

  1. Winning - Don't half feel stupid for that!
Name drop warning - Damon Hill once told me that he found a little washing up liquid on the inside of the visor worked well.

what happens if your bike gets nicked from a garage whilst its having repairs? do you tell your insurer and they claim off the garage?

It works, you only need the tiniest drop though.

When I raced saloons, we used to use a potato cut in half rubbed on the inside of the windscreen, that worked too.

Make sure the frame/engine numbers tie in with the V5 they have. Check the service history and see if there's anything helpful/missing/impending.

Given there reputation, perhaps get it serviced and MOT'd? I hope you got it cheap.

To be fair I sold them my bike for a reasonable price. It was solid.

Not a GSXR 750 is it?

I just think you would treat it like a private buyer who offer finance - be very careful and don't expect much help if something isn't perfect.

Probably not, although they're not high-priced, but if they've carved out a niche with their finance that suits, what choice do you have?

Anyone else take the bike's battery and store indoors during the hibernation?

Rightly or wrongly, I've never bothered. They're left on the bikes and hooked up to Optimates. Never had a problem come spring.

I have a question about swapping rubber brake lines to stainless steel braided lines. As a rule, and given that the rear brake is rarely used, do you just swap over the front? If so, what if the brakes are linked? Any recommendations for fitting, DIY or take it to a garage? Thank you!

Will having the bike on the trickle charger in a cold garage keep the battery healthy? I have one bike and one Optimate. And I am lazy. It hasn't got too cold here, maybe -2 one or two nights.
