Dear Haymarket Media group,
I can't help but notice we don't get the merits of cost effective "white goods" vehicles in the car section of the website, but do in the "PH2" (bike related articles).
Perhaps the continued lack of interest in the "comments" sections of these articles is because your main demographic is not burnt out, 40-something commuters, with a passion for fking scooters.
Could we therefore please have more articles with; racing, fast bikes, cool technology, or massive boobs please?
Yours faithfully,
Prof Prolapse. BSc (hons)

What a dross choice of vehicle to do a review on.
After 35 years of riding bikes including dispatch rider in the 80s on a Z550, CB400N, CB250RS and a GPz900R, I got sick to death of shelling out to fix the damage done by constant attempted thefts in various parts of our big City, and sold my last bike, a Triumph Street Triple.
2 months later a girl at work wanted rid of her 2008 Vespa GT250 with a 300 engine replacement, and sold it to me far a bargain price.
I then wondered why on Earth had I been riding bikes in London all these years.
Pretty quick up to 50mph, can sit at 70mph, 85mpg and tons of storage so I can leave the helmet, gloves and jacket and walk about unencumbered.
I thought I'd be looking at another bike again but now I am eyeing up T-Max and big Piaggios.

What a dross choice of vehicle to do a review on.
You don't see detailed write ups about the latest Hyundai Tucson 0 percent APR deal.

I tried a big scoot for the first time last year.
It was a great way to get around, surprisingly quick off the mark, comfy, weather protection - excellent really.
Been a biker all my days, one of these in the garage would be a great thing, would save me taking my bike out in the pissing rain for a start.
Thanks PH, good little review
Yep, scooters are brilliant. Absolutely invaluable if you want to ride into or across London regularly. It was a great way to get around, surprisingly quick off the mark, comfy, weather protection - excellent really.

The rants above come across as a little telling of the authors, as though they need to ride a "proper" bike to reassure themselves that they are manly enough.

I agree with the Professor - fking scooters are the work of satan himself They're just not proper 'bikes', & well, look just a bit gay to me. There is talk of 'great weather protection'. bks - if you commute any distance, you'll get fking wet whatever you're riding. Oh, & you can't pull proper mingers, decent burnouts, stoppies, etc, & you DEFINITELY will not look cool.
For tts.
Do people still use "gay" as a put-down?For tts.
Bless.

Scooters are just a tool, which is apt as they are frequently ridden by tools...any proper bike has proper brakes, suspension, throttle response etc that makes riding/commuting fun rather than a chore. Unless you are wringing their neck and cocking around on them, scooters are just dull and boringThe rants above come across as a little telling of the authors, as though they need to ride a "proper" bike to reassure themselves that they are manly enough.
