Haha. All my excuses and posturing is just banter. I'm really looking forward to it, hope I can have some close battles as I struggle to do that on Trackdays, but I'm not taking it too seriously. Just bought some scrubs for £80 that I'll use.
I've been up to Rivington Pike on my pushbike today and am now drinking my body weight in lager. Fitness is good, weight isn't.

I'm running Metzler CompK slicks. At not much more than £100 a tyre that's the way forward for me.
compK are without a doubt the worst tyres i've ever put on a bike. good luck

Thing is, I can't tell one tyre from another if I'm honest. I've just put in my fastest ever times at Oulton on them, so pretty happy.

Is anyone doing the trackday at Donington on Thursday? No test day ahead of the big race. I'm there riding sensibly and being a rolling roadblock for others.

I wish I was but unfortunately I don't get home from 2 weeks at work in Shetland until Wednesday afternoon, then I have to switch around from nightshift back on to days. Hopefully I wont be too jetlagged by Saturday.

Damn, I knew I shouldn't have looked at the weather forecast frown

Currently showing heavy rain through Friday night into Saturday morning although then drying up. Keeping my fingers crossed that comes 12 hours earlier or 24 hours later. I hate the rain.

See you there. Not too keen on the weather forecast as mckeann says, looking very wet for raceday, although it keeps changing and getting my hopes up.

You keep looking at the wrong forecaster. Michael Fish should have retired by now

At least you have found your wet mojo. Mine is still missing, and I'm not looking forward to trying to find it on a new brand of wet tyres

It's improving
Looks like Thursday will be damp, but Saturday will start off damp with qualifying, but should be fine for the main of the race

I don't mind if it's wet, it's that crappy patchy wet and dry track that I really hate frown

Ditch the one you follow. The one I sent a link to has been saying light showers all week......if 0.5mm over a 3 hour period can be classed as a shower
