So for the stats v.s the range topper 1299 Superleggera (FE Left/SL Right)
Dry weight 168 KG 156 KG
Wet weight no fuel 179 KG 167 KG
Kerb weight 190 KG 178 KG
Maximum Power 209.4 HP @ 11,000 RPM 215 HP @ 11,000 RPM
Peak Torque 104.7 NM @ 9,000 RPM 108 NM @ 9,000 RPM
Although the measurement of power between the two tests was different (chassis dyno for SL / engine dyno for FE – whatever that means) and the use of steel cylinder liners, steel fasteners and a die cast crank case in the FE
All for £34,995.
For me, it’s a movement on from the 1199 Tricolore that I have in both power, electronics, looks etc. Given it’s going to be the last V-Twin Panigale I thought why not
Speaking to ProTwins, it should be here sooner rather than later!

Nice one.
Whilst £35k is more than I'm prepared to spend on a bike, it is less than half the price of a Superleggera - and they're all sold anyway...
Not quite all of them...Whilst £35k is more than I'm prepared to spend on a bike, it is less than half the price of a Superleggera - and they're all sold anyway...

You were doing so well before you mentioned ProTwins, would never hand my money to them, mainly due to an experience with Brett a few years ago, which is a shame as Rob and the service guys are awesome, just won't use them if I think a penny may drip to Brett.Dry weight 168 KG 156 KG

In regards the FE, stunning piece of kit and I'd love one, shame that although its a numbered bike its not a Limited Numbers bike 'The 1299 Panigale R Final Edition is produced in a numbered, unlimited series' so basically you could end up with 1 of a 1000 or one of 5000, clever by them.

Will jump to the defence of Pro Twins as have had nothing but first class service from them in the last few years (used to go to another Duc dealer until I purchased another bike) as they look after both the Panigale and Desmosedici - Pete is a font of knowledge and nothing is too much trouble with them.
Mate, that's great to hear and I did say the service side are great, just won't contribute to an org that Brett would see any benefit from, maybe the bigger the budget the better experience one gets from him but having been South East based and around Ducatis for a number of years I'm not the only one with this opinion ....Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
