Sensible head on - think I need to test ride first - but if its still around if (WHEN) I purchase then yes I will be.
It's Thursday. Have you bought it yet? I bought a car on a Sunday to celebrate finishing a race. You should buy a bike to celebrate ............... because Thursday.

Bit the bullet and collected an MT09 Tracer today.

First impressions after a 30 mile ride back seem quite positive. No where near the power or delivery of the FZ1 while been more civilised, better engine braking.

Will take it out tomorrow for a bit of a shake down ....
Well done, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine smile

Interesting group test in MCN this week - various 'tourers' including a Tracer 900. Their main gripes were the snatchy throttle and less-than-great suspension, and apparently the best tourer you can buy is an MT-10 with dealer fit soft luggage and a small screen confused

I wonder who from MCN is in line for a loaner MT10? Call me cynical........

Yes, I also wondered why they decided to test six bikes, three of which were Yamahas.

Reading this topic with interest. I've been off a bike for 6 years now, and making a purchase in the next few weeks.
It's going to be an MT09, and there's a few in budget (£6k) with Akro systems smile
Only ever been on faired bikes before (Thundercat, Firestorm and a Blackbird) so a tad apprehensive about the wind buffering but would quite like to keep the speeds down from silly speeds.
Will keep this thread posted!
