And they must have a record of your registration because they sent you the ticket.

You know it was you.

They know it was you.

Could I legally argue the blue van, that was inspecting my anus, was the one actually speeding? laughlaughlaugh

Now I might be talking st. But I was pulled one night in the works van years ago at midnight. It was a 30 but in an industrial estate.

I was doing 40. I know I was. But was let off as there was a car right behind me and they couldn't determine which vehicle was speeding.

I dunno if it's the same with these vans. I'm just telling a tale.

They probably got him, too. Some kind of two-for-one deal.

High fives all round in the camera van. clap

Luckily, here in NZ we don't get points for cameras, just the $.
Every time I take the bike out (slight exaggeration) I get a ticket in the mail and don't ask how may I got over last Xmas in car and ute (zero tolerance over public holidays so several tickets for 103 or 104 kmh in 100kmh limit).

Obviously I drive badly all round the world as my trip to London last year netted me several bus lane tickets and a camera.
Got back last week from another trip so waiting for that Europcar envelope to arrive.

Despite what you are told camera's are not infallible. I got two notice of intended prosecutions in a car on the same day 17 seconds apart. Apparently I was travelling North in one and South on the other. Both in a 40 and both at 46. I queried it and as they couldn't say which one was accurate as patently they couldn't both be accurate they dropped them both. I would have held my hands up to one of them but the lady on the phone handling it seem to think it was a common issue and took their normal course of action in cases like these.
Moral is always ask for all the info and question everything.

I'd be going back and answering for proof as to how they can tell you were speeding and not the transit behind at a minimum.

Having had my collar felt I have learnt very quick exactly this. Be polite but question everything, contest everything and have them prove you guilty beyond reasonable doubt. If they cant...fk 'em

On my occasions I may not have been a perfect picture but I was not in any way portrayed as alleged, and to save paperwork and court time they have tried their best to hit me hard immediately

I'm not sure how many pics they have, or if they have video etc. They sent me two, and a map of the road they covered.

The bike in the photo is a BMW boxer, not a bandit. Do you ride a bandit or a BMW?

Why have you got a Ford badge on your helmet?

You only get to do that in court. If you're just going to court to be awkward, then it's a daft approach, as it'll cost a lot of money and potentially a few more points too.

There is that. Personally I wouldn't go as far as court but id be asking for proof of speed.
Proof of being able to distinguish between the van and you. All in writing and if they can't submit this I'd be asking for a written response as to why.
