Has anyone heard of these? I've been looking at something like:

http://www.boltonmotorcycles.co.uk/used-bike-detai...

They seem to have a presence in France and Spain, but am wondering if they're like the Chinese rubbish of old, rusting away in front of your eyes, or has the manufacturing improved in recent times?

Thanks.

I'm sure there is a better known quantity for similar money. You would have to ask oneself why its almost 3 years old with less than 600 miles on the clock.

Mash? No wonder they're not well known in English speaking countries ha ha.

But yeah, chinese manufactured bike you takes your chances....!

And before anyone gets a hot giggety hard-on about Japanese manufacturers sourcing component manufacturing over there (or even whole bikes), for every QA'd ISO-whatever factory there there's quite a few more which are pumping out similar looking stuff which is not very well built at all. Jump onto Ali Baba and you'll probably find half a dozen companies pumping out the same bike.

Mash aren't too badly made actually.
Yes, they are built in China, but the quality control is pretty good on them.

Engine design is the old Honda XBR, so solid and reliable.

That particular bike is at least £500 more than I would be looking to pay though.

Thanks for the replies. My commute is due to increase from 6 to 30 miles each way, including a bit of motorway, and I don't think my little rv125 will be best suited.

The search goes on.

I probably wouldn't think an air cooled, trail bike derived single will be the best for such a commute neither.

Probably far better to get a CB500, SV650 or ER6, this sort of money should get a decent one but it will be older.

Your no doubt right Graham. This Mash popped up and I must admit, I quite like the look of it.

Again, thanks all for the input.

Are these Mash things what the Chinese original is before Herald get their hands on them?
