Are you submitting claims yourselves via Honda directly or via a dealer? Had to submit a warranty claim for an new instrument screen just after I got my bike and my local dealer wasn't interested as I didn't buy the bike from them, got it done eventually but was a chore.
I did it via fowlers in Bristol, they did it for me. Originally asked for so much information, like all my receipts and service history...for wheel spokes. I just said please sort it and they did within the week. Never gave them anything in the end.

Update on my wheels.

Had a call from the dealer, Honda requesting 'general pictures of the bike' and a description of what I use the bike for.

Wonder if this will get interesting...
Nah they will give you a new set without drama

Oh that's good to hear...I'm only after one, the rear is fine.

My rank is rusting too. I've not reported that yet...anyone have any experience on getting a new fuel tank under warranty?

9k mile 1 year old ATAS...
Not heard of tank issues!

You seriously need to get some of this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corrosion-Block-Grease-Mo...tongue outla-699740178395&psc=1

I slap it all over the bike especially up under the front on the stem and between the radiators twice a year. Mine has some surface rust on it but nothing to worry about.

Comparably I have seen loads of other new bikes that have rotten as well, my aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket center stand has also rusted.

I'm a regular user of ACF50 - generally the bikes OK, a few surface areas but nothing i'm bothered about except the wheel and tank.

Will see what Honda say, can't get any images of the tank rust as it's under gap between between the top 'fairing' and the tank it's self. More annoying that I know it's there than anything.
I do use ACF50 but the Corrosion Block Grease is far superior IMO for bits that are seriously exposed, such as the bit between the radiator at the front. Give it a go if you can after your next clean..no i don't own shares in them smile

Honda rejected my warranty claim for wheel corrosion - due to salt solution or similar off the roads causing this.

Fun times.
I would get at them big time. They said that to me first but i wouldnt let it go.

Me too! The dunlops have almost caught me out a couple of times on bends/roundabouts - Im either going for a Motoz GPS rear and a Pirelli/Michellin front or a pair of Pirelli Rally STR's
Avon Trail Riders are where its at mate!

If you can wait, M&P always seem to be included in the Ebay 20% offers (just not the current one!) - I have got tyre sets for all 3 bikes sat the porch at the moment from the last deal biggrin

"Salt liquid has passed the wheel stem", What the juddering fk does that mean?

When you ride on Salty road the expectation is you remove your tyre from the rim and then clean it out? How is the wheel then fit for purpose?

I think you may be able to take this further mate... It is mental...
Agreed, this seems ludicrous. They replaced mine no question. Keep pushing and hammering Honda and the dealership on social media.

My DCT has 52,000 miles on it since November 2017 (I think). Runs fine. Some corrosion here and there...that being said; the aftermarket exhaust, givi rack and constands center stand is also corroded - make of that what you will.

No major issues. Had a new set of wheels last year as mine were rotten (warranty), set of wheel bearings on the rear and a new battery. Runs fine still and starts on the button. I used a heated jacket and grips all the time in 2017/2018 which ate the battery i think.

It will sting a bit paying the final £6k this year for a bike with 70,000 + miles on, but there we are.

Mine ran like clockwork for 9k miles and I just had the wheels replaced for corroded spokes. I put Oxford grips on though as I'd heard how rubbish the Honda grips were. There do seem to be some Friday afternoon bikes out there though frown
Yeh, mine has 60,000 miles on now, not really had any issues. I had a few flat battery issues but they were solved with a new battery, no issues now. Not really a honda problem

All the rotten stuff on it is after market, Unsurprisingly i am keeping mine the excess mileage charge will be a sting if not.
