It's a pity the DCT is the only option. Manual for me frown

Though even with man maths and skirting it around SWMBO's radar I doubt it would happen?
I thought this. But the DCT is really quite enjoyable. I have it in D mode but you can still shift up and down if you want to
I'm thinking long term and how robust is the DCT if you pay the bubble and keep the bike. It's a bit of an unknown?

NC750X has not had any major problems I don't believe.

That said, I have also thought of this. I purchased extended warranty @ £229 to take me to the 3 years.

There are a decent number of high-ish mileage NCs with DCT on them out there. I know the AT is a more powerful engine but conceptually I wouldn't expect the box to have many issues.

I spoke to my local dealer a few weeks ago about an AT and he said about 80% of the ones they sell here are DCT, maybe it's skewed a bit based on the urban location (Zürich) but there doesn't seem to be an issue shifting them over here.

I've wanted something soft and squidgy to use as a bit of a slag. I hadn't really considered the Africa Twin until I saw the offer and it just seemed to fit.
Rawwr, I thought I may have got a snigger at least, I feel all let down and lonely now.

Ya bender.

Theyre a big bike to take off road and when its PCP, unless you're sticking down the £6k at the end of the agreement, I'd be wary about dropping it!

Can't believe how many units they've shifted and continue to shift on this. I have heard that there is another Honda dealer willing to match this up North but I havent checked with them to see if this is indeed true.

Luggage is all on back order so if you did buy it you won't be riding the bike away with it fitted...

Me neither. Honda must have seriouly over estimated the DCT sales in the UK to have so many bikes available from stock.

I'd be pretty gutted if I'd just paid full price for one that's for sure

I'm due in the dealer tomorrow, anyone know an unofficial estimate as to how many units has JB shifted?

Did someone say 90 as of last Thursday? Plus at least one more here...

It's around 90, i think they sold 10 last Saturday at JB.

The wife took the AT out last night with the daughter on the back. I followed on the GSXR, leaving our estate she stops at the junction, blips the throttle ( habit) forgets its an auto and surges into the road ( car is coming) i pooh my pants, she laughs and wheels the bike back.

The journey went with no further hiccups.

The thought process is very different on these bikes, my one gripe is at low speed it can get confused between 1st/2nd where i would normally be using a clutch and powering around a corner. With the AT it can lurch a bit.

For low speed stuff, filtering and mooching around towns, I leave it in Sport 1. Seems to avoid a lot of the grabby issues.

I also got home last night around 5pm and it was a really nice sunny day. Dumped the AT on the driveway, went inside, swapped my big-ass boots for my dainty boots, swapped my Goretex gloves for my summer gloves, swapped my Shoei Horney for my Shoei X-Spirit and then went out on the Fireblade.

Dead lord. That felt freakily unnatural. How on earth do people ride sports bikes?!

Back from holidays now, anyone have any info on the dealer in the north who will match it?
Any white ones available?

Ring around and mention the John Banks deal.

Red or black only.

Try Vertu in Nottingham or Grantham. They had a few left on Friday. Black only.

Don't bother with Fowlers, Bristol. Questioned me like I was lying and then said that the best they can do is £11k.

You could try wheels in Peterborough as they normally do good deals.
