No mine has never stalled, but I'm sure it's quite possible there's an unusual situation that could provoke it.

But the above issue is presumably just normal use in traffic, which it most certainly should not be stalling.
Oops, sorry, I quoted the wrong post!

Mine was a similar situation low revs, hovered throttle and then opened and it cut out. As I say, not a regular occurrence and have not had throttle adjusted. Coming up to 8k service in the next month or so. Will mention it

So I went to Dobles down in Coulsdon for my first service. I can only describe it as the best service experience I have had a a dealer. They charged me a reasonable £138 for the first service.

After they brought the bike back I remembered to mention the stalling issue they called the technician out to discuss it. What they said is in a rush to get these bikes out some dealers do not run the ECU learning mode on the bike. They then took the bike back and put my ecu and DCT into learning mode. The techie fixed a small fault with my oxford grips wiring while he was waiting for the bike to respond and rerouted a bit better than I had.

I can honestly say the bike very different to ride and a lot smoother in response. I hadn't realised at the time until I got into work is that they had even cleaned my bike. It was pretty grimey from a week of crap weather.

Love my bike and super impressed with Dobles.

Mine stalled for the 1st time the other week, it was cold pulling out of my road. Only done it once.

Yes the Service guy did say let it idle while you put on your gloves and lid and in the that time it should help the fuelling.

I have no idea why 'warming up' the bike would help it unless the computer is doing its thing in the cold weather and making adjustments?

Rode mine in this morning. Awesome... love heated grips.

Sorry, but I have a dumb question.
I really don’t like the tyres as the grip in the wet is awful.
I searched online and came up with following.

Are these the wrong tyres or do people convert to tubeless?
I searched by bike rather than the size, hence my confusion.
I think you can run these tyres with inner tubes although they are rated as tubeless.

Good tyre choice. I almost got these but went with the marginally nobblier tkc70 version as being a bit better in the wet per the reviews and I wanted something as “all weather” as possible. They also look a bit more hard core on a bike like the AT 😉

Is the adventure sports model going to run along side a standard model in 2018? If so have there been any upgrades on the standard model eg stainless spokes...

I sat on the dealers manual Adventure Sport version, seat height was on high setting and felt a lot like my old 03 KTM950Adv . I was on balls of both feet wearing trainers so should be manageable when I have my Sidis on. Didn't feel too heavy getting it off the side stand and I have a test ride booked as soon as they have their DCT demo delivered (the manual was for sale not a demo).

I might be wrong but I think there was some recall and they were changed to SS spoke wheels on any that were suffering from corrosion if you made a fuss ????

Question to the collective now everyone has got some miles in.

Do you really think the OEM Dunlops are as bad as the hysteria suggests for cold wet tarmac?

I'm undecided. My bike isn't out yet so I've not got enough miles in to say either way...

1000 miles in and yes you can wheelspin in a straight line in the dry, but they will do for now. I will put a few more miles in the before I replace with conti attack 2’s

I did some pretty gentle lanes on mine. On the standard tyres it was pretty horrific and I wouldn't recommend that but on TKC80s it was both hilarious and capable at the same time smile

Had the 1st ride of 2018 yesterday. I had a few twitches & TC intervention moments and I’m blaming the OE Dunflops. If forums are to be believed then they are ste so I’m booked in for some Conti Trail Attack 2’s on Tuesday morning. I’m hoping the difference in grip will be marked.
