I rode with one for the first time over the weekend. Very solid bike just under powered was my thoughts as well as the owner of his 3 month old one

The tyres took a battering too

My race sticker went well on it though I thought

8.38 is his PB from what I recall on that bike he does it consistent though as hes used to running about 30 seconds quicker he just cant do it on that bike

This was my first lap having traveled all day to get there and I went straight out with him. Honestly he was ringing the neck off it everywhere

Ha I think his lap was already posted here.

Looks fine for a tired lap to me mate. I did similar in a car, drove from Berlin (IIRC), hired a track car, then by the third lap I was grateful of the red flag. It's hard going enough in the car.

I'm still not sure about going on the bike. Part of me really wants to, but so many dheads when I was there has put me off. I'd probably end up murdering someone in the car park.

I've been looking at the Delkevic mufflers wondered if anyone else had bothered?
I've recently fitted a Remus end can. To be honest my main motive was to get rid of the huge dustbin standard exhaust and replace it with the much tidier matt black Remus, which looks much better on my matt black AT. I didn't want too much a noise increase, so i've left the DB Killer/baffle in situ. At idle it sounds barely any different and further up in the rev range it's now a bit fruitier.

John Banks were doing a good price on these, I can't remember what I paid, circa £300 I think...

£185 for the carbon version of the Delkevic so went for it.
The reviews all look pretty good, the plan is to keep the baffled in, but I do have very understing neighbours wink
You will want to keep the baffle in. It is ungodly loud without it. Sounds nice with it in.

ETA: The Delkevic pipe is great quality and the service is second to none. Really happy with it.

Really disappointed with the ‘Honda quality’ spokes are knackered and exhaust header brackets are rusting. Brake lines are corroding. I am a bit Mr OCD ( he would freak out) I clean the bike as soon as it’s dirty, clean with decent products. I have only been caught out once in stty weather and the bike is rotting away.

I will get bits replaced by Honda. But in 3 years the bike will be given back so not that fussed.

My last Suzuki was in much better condition and that was 10 years old.

As for end can I have a scorpion with baffle out and it sounds great. ( not too loud)

Be a shame if it's rotten in three years, I was hoping to buy it from Honda given I negotiated so hard for the discount.

I must admit though, after only a thousand miles, ACF50'd and stored in winter I have surface rust on the header fixings, spokes, rear pre-load adjuster and a few other places.

It's still not as bad as my 2013 GSXR-750 though I'm afraid!

I went for the full Scorpion stainless system. Greatly reduces the size of the can and the cat and cat cover go, it tucks in nicely, not much louder than standard.

I have the same scorpion can and it fits well and comes with a guard. I have kept the CAT on mine.

How has anyone with the matt black paint found it to wear over time?
Bit worried about it going shiny in patches or not coping with embedded insects very well...
Which would leave me with a choice of tricolour or tricolour, and that seems to be a very very common choice so I'd rather go black.

I've got a Matt Black one and so far there are no shiny patches, I've not been through an insect period yet so can't comment on bug removal, although the ones so far have come off ok.. One thing I do like is the polishing ritual involves nothing more than a wipe over with windolene biggrin

Maybe just one cup too many? I haven't felt anything like that, It did once feel a little odd on a section of the M25 not sure exactly where , but somewhere between Heathrow and Dartford and it was only for about a mile or so .. I put it down to the road surface .. I've not felt it since ...

Tonker, assuming tyre pressures have been checked, axle tightness, swinging arm bearings or suspension linkage a possibility?

I experienced ABS for the 1st time on Saturday and it works and saved me!

Behind a car on a bendy back road, bone dry and hot. The Car stopped in front of me to let a car come the other way and for a split second i looked away, must have been doing around 30 and slammed on the brakes, feet down and the rear did not lift at all as its so heavy, the front slid and i heard the ABS kick in. Stopped about 6 inches from bumper and a bit of wee came out!

Could be the rear shock - bikes do feel like that when the shock goes. Are you able to lift the rear of the bike and ‘bounce’ it?
