I test rode an adventure sports yesterday, ordering today!

Test bike had a quickshifter and a Yoshimura pipe on, loads of fun - loved it.

I'll be ordering on of those rugged road air dams..

Great to hear! I've got the QS (and auto blipper) on mine - can't fault it.

I'm keeping the standard pipe on mine as I still can't get over how good it sounds!

Just looked up the Honda QS, didnt realise it had an auto blipper too.

I'll be going with the standard pipe 1st of all as I've been told it sounds good as is.

Popped to Belgium on Saturday - left the UK first thing and returned in the evening.
Took the little lady too as she's not adverse to being a pillion but wanted to see how she handled big miles in one day, as she's been suggesting some form of euro tour on the bike.

5am - leave the house for a 7:30 check in on the euro tunnel, YAWN! It was 7 degrees and dark, this was the most miserable part of the trip.

Anyway, we had a great time and with no dramas - got home approx 9pm.

We covered over 450 miles on the bike, plus a good few km of walking.

We both started to get numb butts towards the end of the day but was all manageable.

I absolutely need a wider screen on the bike as i'm getting a lot of wind blast on my shoulders so need to do some shopping there.

All in all, absolutely love the ATAS - the 24.5 litre tank and approx 300 mile range is perfect.

Sounds like a great trip! Cant wait to pick mine up on Sat - have you had any issues at all with it? Any recommendations?

I saw 1 on the M20 around 6.30pm heading towards the M25/A20 - wasn't you was it? Was 2 up on the inside lane.

Sounds like it could have been me - did you see a red Thruxton R in tow too, if yes then absolutely me.

No real issues so far - I hit 1400 miles this morning.

When the trip computer says under 30 miles, and you give it full throttle it jerks and splutters so the fuel pump doesn't like that! As I said though, no actual issues yet.

What power supply does the AT have?

I'm on one in Africa in 3 weeks and want to know about charging my film gear on the move - Does it have a 12v socket or USB charger?

They will do more than green lanes all day long. We did a 5mile trail through a glen, up and down steep rocky walking trails this weekend. Bike managed no bother. Plus a remote MX track.

Why are new people still buying these, I thought the original reason was when they were giving them away on pcp? Are they still cheap?

For me, Im having to change my bike as of April due to ULEZ and after man maths, Im saving £40-50 a month getting 1 of these on finance including fuel than what I spend on fuel alone with the Fireblade plus I've always wanted to do a bit of off roading etc.

For me, the deposit was less than the value of my current bike (sold privately) and the monthly payment was approx £100 a month for a new bike, oh and it was 0%. Simples.

Rear wheel bearing gone 26,100 miles. Not spectacularly, but enough to allow some play in the rear wheel.

£15.10 +VAT for new one, will fit tomorrow.

Anyone installed these - http://ruggedroads.co.uk/OEM-Honda-Visor-Kit-CRF10...

I find I get some annoying air blast coming through the area they seemingly block.

I fitted these to my ATAS. I found they slightly reduced the helmet buffeting I get at higher around the NSL etc speeds so improved my lot prior to fitting. I find the buffeting is worse if the wind is blustery or not as noticeable if the wind is constant . mine experience is also helmet dependant and i'm either wearing a Schuberth S2 Sport (quieter) or an Arai QVPro (noisy but better vented) . I'm on the stock ATAS tall screen and saddle on max stock height which I found improved it a bit too. For a short while I did try a very short screen and whilst it seemed to stop the buffeting it did make it very noisy so swapped back to the stock ATAS screen.

Picked my bike up on Saturday, love it!

2 things I need to sort though, the buffeting & the instrument screen has some marks behind the screen - gutted I didn't see it when I collected it but looks like brake fluid & also some light scratches, no idea how it could have happened - have spoken to the salesman and hes going to find out what can be done as I've asked for it to be replaced. In certain light you cant really see it, not a massive problem but on a new bike it shouldn't be like it.

That sorts a lot of the buffeting!

That's good to know - I'm on stock screen and standard seat and as you say I find it worse when it's windier. Will give them a try and see how I get on. Might try a different screen too.

It's fine upto, say 65ish mph then gets a bit annoying. It got really annoying when making progress through France and Belgium last weekend.
