They're not even particularly good wheelies.

And PLEASE tell me it wasn't a marked car following him so blatantly...

..and doing 117mph, rummaging in a backpack, and if the article is correct about taking a selfie then presumably using a mobile phone as well. Lets be honest here, the guy was being a tt.
Oh no, not 117mph.

Doesn't warrant that sentence IMO. I see people doing all of these in isolation daily.
If he'd been caught doing one of them in isolation he have got a lesser sentence.
No st.

I am saying that a combination or string of these minor offences at one time do not warrant jail time.

Not that this excuses the piss poor riding, but is there a point where the police should pull the guy over than just watch him?

To get a prison sentence they must believe that what he was doing was very dangerous. Were the police just following him waiting for him to bin it?

Obviously so they could gather footage to upload to the internets.

The police say that they have a duty of care toward the nobbers who are stealing bikes, but that doesn't appear to extend to this person.

I assumed it was 3rd part dash cam footage ? ...the Police are supposedly now encouraging do gooders to volunteer such footage, turning everyone with a dash cam into a potential set of eyes for the Police......

You could always put your foot down a bit or pull over and get out of their way. You should stop being such a pussy in it.
Got to love all this Billy big bks biker bullst....hehe

Only on PH.

Be interesting seeing how the fkwit biker so interested in my back bumper would have reacted and come off biggrin: if I had decided to brake rather urgently for that oh so cute baby hedgehog crossing the road.

Next time you can have a shot of my £2k skoda and find out. We wouldn't want it happening to the £200k fanny magnetic you have at home.

You really are a walking stereotype-confirmation, you know.

BTW, that was not a compliment.

When someone faster comes along, get the fk out of the way.

Wtf do you think £200k buys you these days some sort of hover car. There's barely enough change to tip Maître d' after buying a remapped 535d. 200k cars are so common these days.

The guy is clearly a bit of an idiot, but jail? What I can't get my head around is that if he had stolen it from someone while threatening them with some kind of power tool, he would have got off scott free...
You'll have some examples you'd like to link to, I'm sure...

Seriously harsh IMO. Wayne Rooney just got 24 months for drink driving.
Yes, but he wasn't caught rummaging.

From the Liverpool Echo..

The court heard he was banned from driving for 12 months on July 25 after admitting failing to provide a specimen of breath on July 8.

Hangin' Judge Fletcher:
"This was a piece of appalling driving."

Actually it was incredibly skillful driving, done in the worst possible place. With the driver having just come off another ban it does show a rather disdainful attitude to the law though, which won't have helped.
