I literally park my track bikes up and leave them for months at a time without doing anything...why are people draining fluids and filling with unicorn piss for a few months of no use. If you are able to, put the battery on an optimate. That is all i would do!
This is all I've ever done. Honestly makes me laugh. Of all my race bikes, now my boys race bikes, my track bike and my road bike I have never had any knocking, bogging, or starting issues - ever

Just put the poxy thing away for a few months, bung it on trickle charge and fire it up in the new year when you're ready.

Fantastic biking day today. This is why I never lay bikes up for winter.

Thermal base layer and heated grips and away you go, no problems. I reckon today was near the limit though for me as some of the country lanes were a bit treacherous and the heated grips were set to maximum at times..

Plenty of days like this throughout the next 3 months though to enjoy so mine is staying on the road. In fact I'll probably be out tomorrow as well.

Prepped the bike for its winter sleep last night.

Phone had a 'feels like' temperature of -12 degrees so there was minimum faffing in the garage!

I put the covers over mine a month ago, they're all covered in flies (apart from the fizzy) and dirty.

I suppose I should disconnect the batteries at least.

Not been out on any of mine in at least 6 weeks.

My commuter bike has been in the back of the van for the last 2 months since the regulator packed up

Unlikely any of mine will even get a passing glance until the end of January

Pleased to report I passed my Mod2 on Tuesday in the -4 degree temperatures. Lost all feeling in my fingers with no heated grips but aside from that all good.

Hopefully picking up a bike this weekend and there's no way I'll be able to resist getting out and about over winter!

Congrats!

There might be something to be said about it being so cold that the examiner wanted to be back in the warmth of the test centre!

Nope, been out today for a ride around The Lake District. It was four degrees, but with a Keiss heated jacket, it was wonderful.
