Did you add the extension?
Based on the talent in that photo I'm guessing you walked away with an extension
That was the start of a very special and memorable day lick

Had to go into work for meetings at silly o'clock so thought would get the bike out as the sun was shining... It was bd cold.

I was out yesterday evening and yep it was very cold. Still beats all the rain we had this morning

I was out last night clocked over 10,000 miles now... Bless

Was at 17 miles on reserve and on the way from a biker pub to our local also biker pub (we meet at one and ride to the other after a bit) when I hit some red lights and was next to a stretched busa

Now in true urban warrior fashion I obviously raced him off the lights (I think that's a law amongst bikers right?)

Only to tap 1st to 2nd, then to 3rd front wheel hoovering and then nothing... Yep I ran out of fuel

Proud moment though was that I managed to clutch it in and due to the speed I was going coast it a mile, just get through an amber light and literally role into a petrol station

Not my proudest moment laughrofl

I think it's been done for a laugh because there are too many reasons why it wouldn't work.

An image search leads back to a Reddit post claiming that it was a U-Haul customer in the US... well, he was trying to be a customer.

Did you have to empty the entire garage to get it out?

TBH I don't know where the stuff comes from, all that lot is the 'overflow' from the garage plus kids bikes, old chairs etc etc but you never know when it might come in useful laughlaughlaugh

Finally got the R1 ready yesterday after 10 months of headaches and spending money, just in time for the bank holiday weekend and some good weather!

Only while running it up to temperature and doing a final pre-ride checks this happened...

New radiator needed and another weekend of not riding it. I've done 500 fking miles on it, in 11 ttting months!

Rad guards when you get another rad, I'm not saying a stone caused your problem but prevention and all that....

I don't know what caused it but I definitely will John.

Once the old one is off I'm planning to get a design done with one of my pals where I work and get one laser cut.

Hopefully a couple of people on the classic R1 page on FB will want them to so I can offset the cost of a new rad biggrin
