Hope I'm allowed on here with my little bike!

Been riding this daily for almost 3 weeks, I'm probably a bit old to be running about on a 125cc at 39, but I've gotta start somewhere smile

Perfect! Happy riding

What’s next?

I’ve just bought another bike, but it has no motor and is for the foreign gaff anyway.

Realised that in the nearly 9 years I've been living in Sydney I'd been to North Head. Too hungover for a proper ride yesterday so cruised over to check out the view.

Picked up the new bike on Thursday, first ever new bike with 3 miles on the clock. Luggage won't be ready until the colour coded panels arrive from Holland so got to wait a few more days for that. Also they somehow forgot to fit the Scotoiler which was on the list and still need to install the GPS wiring loom from the old bike I traded in.

Hadn't seen the colour in the flesh before picking her up but utterly adore it. Hopefully not too hard to keep looking good. Gave it a full winter detail and protection, and went out for a first ride yesterday. Bloody cold and had to keep it sensible under 5krpm. Also just bought a Go Pro so I can be a Go Pro prat and stick up silly videos.

Be warned this video contains lots of sub-60 mph footage, sub 5krpm acceleration, absolutely no instances of knee down shenans. Don't watch if you have a heart condition or are pregnant.

Versys's are great bikes, I rated mine, it was let down by the worst brakes ever fitted to a motorcycle, the newer ones don't have the same issues.

Dunno really, still looking for the right bike, it will probably be unfaired and above 750cc, Tuono or FZ1 maybe, I have no idea, will see what shows up over winter smile

I like the way you can see it's SRAD origins once the bodywork is off - looks far less of a thing.

Agree, great to work on, tank hinges & uses little prop under the seat, oil/filter change can be done by removing one side of the fairing, most fasteners being the same size.

Only gripe was the number of small stones which get caught in the fairing lowers which then fall out just for you to kneel on them - ouch.

Aye, the pure white's and kwak green just don't suit it. I'm lucky to have some decent quiet roads right near me as well. Managed another 120 miles yesterday. Of course the bikes minging now.

Interested to know the results of the reflash.
Not bothered about power, more about the rideability.

I'll do a full write up soon as I found it pretty interesting so reckon others will do too ... but it is simply brilliant. It is smooth rolling on - off, revs up over 3 seconds quicker on a roll on and the throttle actually gives you 1:1 not what the electronics think is best. Gains were only 5bhp at top end, but these bikes aren't about outright power. Its plenty quick enough even as standard.

Managed to take the twins out for a short run a little while back. They're loud, they're imperfect, and they're just raw beasts. Vivid reminders of just how awesome superbikes can be before all the electronics have neutered the latest generation.
