Bought a new hat yesterday and it’s brilliant in more ways than one. Not convinced yet about the colour but it may have already saved my life and I’d never know it.

I'm looking to get a pair of the Duke 2s to replace our ageing Bell flip up touring lids. Currently bright orange, going for the fluoro yellow, like you, I suspect such colours have already made my life far easier than it may have been!
What are these like for (a) size and (b) noise? (Subjective questions, I know...)

Going up on eBay tonight, not going to have time to complete it before going away in September unfortunately. Keep an eye if anyone wants a good source of spares!

What does it need to get it back on the road?

Details will be on eBay when the listing goes live at 9pm, but it was taken off the road 6 or 7 years ago with suspected head gasket failure. Now needs forks and brakes rebuilding, engine diagnosing and fixing and new chain and sprockets. Main problem for me is that there is surface rust to the frame, so to do a nice job will need fully stripping down and powder coating which is what I don't have time for unfortunately frown

They are a bit big, I think I read they’re all XL and it’s just the padding that determines the size.

I think it’s pretty quiet compared to my old lid but reviews say noise is not its best aspect.

Not been on PH much so sorry if I’ve missed it, but have you got any clips of that R1 on track at all?

New endurance bike bought. Need a larger tail unit if anyone knows of one going spare.

Bloody photos are always cockeyed on here.

Yep, well it feels like it is at the rear, but it still feels quite roomy and comfortable at the front. Obviously not ridden it so can’t tell how it feels on track, but it can’t be that hard can it? wink

I’ve got a Pata Yamaha and one of those 20th anniversary BSB ones in red and white in there too. Could be fun next time we’re out hehe

Nearly done ... just need to flush the radiator and install fresh coolant and fit the ram-air and side fairings ... it is looking rather smart!

I have also acquired some rather nice goodies to apologise for breaking her... biggrin

All being well I will be back on the R wern next week ... nice and steady away!

A couple from Rockingham on Saturday, got pretty lucky with the weather, pissing down the whole way up there but dry all day except the last session.
Booked cadwell for 25th August, never been before as it’s a 5 hour drive each way, can’t wait though.
