Perseverence seems to be the key. It took two hours on first attempt with wheels removal and balance. £120 of gear. Fairly satisfying. Hardest part is not scratching the wheel or getting fked off and damaging things in frustration.

Based on that I think I'll continue to part with 20 quid and let someone else do it smile

Speed Triple
I just find these ... old fashioned looking, and a bit disjointed. I think the big fat can under the seat is the worst bit for me.

Speedmaster
Am liking that ... think it's the fat tyres which appeal most.
I was impressed by how different the speed triple felt, I last rode one 3 years ago, and the bike feels less like a big bruiser, and more like a sports bike than the MT 10.

I like the fat tyres on the speedmaster as well, it reminds me a little of the Harley 48.

Good biking day today, first service for my Speedmaster was due, so an early trip out to the dealers, with some glorious weather and empty roads. I then had a chance to play on these two bikes, both of which are superb, and surprisingly different. The Speed RS made the best noise and went round corners so well, but the MT-10 was a hooligan. I would be happy with either in my garage.
My mate who I'm out most Sundays with rides an mt10 and says the same. Loves the engine but says the constant wanting to lift the front and peg hero blobs touching wears thin

I know he test rode a trumpet rs and said it handled loads better and the brakes were phenomenal but the power wasn't as hard hitting

I followed one round doni the other week and thought it pulled pretty good. It wasn't alot slower than my tuono 1100

Awwww look at the little happy face!

Other half's first ever ride on the back of a bike. We popped to her brother's first (5 minutes) who took this photo, and then out into the countryside for an hour or so, steadily getting quicker, breaking harder and leaning over more. She loved it! Bless!

I sold my tidier and better running one for something like £1350! Although it hadn’t been on YouTube so obviously that makes it worth double the price....

Some idiot will buy it

The way the cowl and seat unit are lining up on the srad is driving me crazy!

What's the deal with them both being displayed like that? Some sort of 44teeth publicity thing?

Only read the price with 'comic' attachment.

Wasn't aware of the 44 thing - sounds like they're copying a Fast Bikes vid from 20 years ago.

I've thought the same. Very similar theme.

I kinda wished I did something like this as a side line from my regular job but have no clue how to do it really

I watched that and thought it was ace, just wondering if the 2 bikes are displayed like that for their amusement afterwards and has been pinched from social media or if there's something going on that I've missed.

Had a go at fitting some TKC70s myself on Friday then found myself an empty field today.

25mph+ on a field is fking terrifying. Doubly so when you’ve fk all idea what you’re doing on a PCP bike, with tyres you’ve fitted based on YouTube video whilst on huge amounts of codeine.

I’d thoroughly recommend it... Except the codeine. That st is awfully moreish.

Codeine rocks.... smile

Have you been up the Lammermuirs yet? Plenty tracks up there if you wanted some more off road fun.

I know the area, but not been there looking for off-roady bits so thanks for the tip, I'll look. It's close enough I can limp home which is always a bonus!

Just trying to find places which are suitable at the moment. It's that balance between actually using the damned thing as intended, and my limitations.

Comedy pricing aside, the 44T channel is the joint-best channel (with Jay Leno's Garage) I've come across on youtube, great watching.

If you head south there are some great trails listed here. Even better ones just across the water in Europe....and loads of people doing them on the AT too scratchchin

Yeah, you've obviously got green lanes South of the border as well which makes things easier in some respects I'm sure.

Although I have seen from others that the bike is surprisingly capable, it is still on 80-90% road tyres, and doesn't forgive very much of my level of fk wittery. So best not to wander too far off road on my own at this point I think.

I had the front end tuck under me twice yesterday at just a touch under 20mph, how I saved it I really don't know, the foot went down instinctively and a I throttled out of it, I suspect it was just blind luck the front found grip again. After my anus re-clenched, I was just laughing hysterically. Great fun but I'm not sure I fancy trying that hundreds of miles from home.
