The trick is drinking to excess to combat the effects of the Codeine. I had 15 measures of Gin (4 of dry vermouth) on the Friday night and I can assure you solidity was not an issue on Saturday.

Unfortunately I was also test driving a Tesla model S on Saturday so it wasn't terribly convenient having to periodically clench my anus to avoid disgracing myself in front of the very nice sales lady. Although I felt resisting the Gin Martini sts was more inkeeping with the £89,000 millk float than my usual half box of Tesco "Malbec" red wine. Which similarly is medicinal. Probably.

Actually I'd forgotten I'd been to Tesla. fking Codeine strikes again.

That reminds me, time for Codeine.

O/T pah, 15:4 isn't proper 'dry' - 15:3 (aka 5:1) maybe... I ordered a dry martini from a well known (in some parts of PH) barman in the US and he swirled the vermouth round the glass carefully coating all of it...and then poured it all out. Then filled it up with just gin (Tanqueray no.10 at my request) and a twist.

5:1 was what I was aiming for. After ten shots of Bombay Sapphire, I did erroneously add another helping of dry vermouth to the third helping. That's actually one of the last things I remember before waking up at 6am on the sofa being prodded by my three year old.

I would subscribe to fillling the glass with gin and simply "toasting to the Italians", as I know some do, but the ritual addition of Vermouth, lemon peel, and drinking it in stupid glass, is the only thing that makes me feel ellevates me above the other functional alcoholics.

Fit some new headers to the MV at the weekend and took it for a ride, didnt take long for them to turn blue ....no more cleaning corroding headers any more. Sounds much more angry without the cat...had to put silencer baffles back in though, far too ASBO without them smile

You're a small step away from nicking the kids family allowance and injecting heroin into your eyeballs in some damp dingy flat on a Glasgow council estate Prof.

Not bad for free, the photo or the go on the RWERRN.

If it hadn't been for that and Leon Haslam milling about our garage, the £205 for the track day would have stung a bit more!

Cheers CAPPO, sounds easy when you say it but in reality I'm a pussy hehe Always time next year.

This year I'm gonna spend time and money scaring myself on my new toy instead
