Took delivery of my new (to me) chariot - an MV Brutale Corsa with full Ti system by Arrow for MV. It's been a while since I last had a IL4, but the noise and way this thing goes is quite special! Last of the old long stroke 1078cc motors by MV with radial valves. Should be good fun.
Nice that you're finally getting to own a very nice MVNice Brutale Corsa
I have a 2015 1090RR upgraded to Corsa spec minus the Ohlins forks and wheels. Running Silmotor TI headers with the Arrow OL4 TI cans and MV Corse Race ecu. Yours should have the race ecu fitted with the full system, so over 170bhp and under 200kg

Nice RR! Was at the MV factory this summer and the new America 800 edition is very similar to your bike's colour scheme. The way that the 1078cc (not sure why they badged it 1090?) pulls from down low and seems to gain power really quickly. The MV may have slightly less outright hp compared to a TuonoV4, but it feels like the MV makes more power lower down the rev range and sooner vs time. FastBikes did a test of the 1090 Corsa vs. TuonoV4 and S1000R and it was [surprisingly] the fastest down the straight at Mugello. I love the build and detailing of the Brutale, and it pairs up nicely with the 1098R and GS. Would still love an oily classic perhaps for bimbles to the pub on a sunny Sunday.I have a 2015 1090RR upgraded to Corsa spec minus the Ohlins forks and wheels. the red/white/blue was MV (Magni) team colours from the 60/70s for a while, and I think what you saw at the factory is the limited "america" version of the 800RR which is similar.
I had a 750S on the wall as a kid and always wanted an MV like it ........I think they go for £75-100K now though
Did you hear anything at the factory about the new big Brutale that is on the way ? ...read elsewhere "over 200bhp" which would be errrrmm interesting !

There was talk of the new B4 as F4 production looked like it completely stopped. Only the 800cc bikes were in production. Possibly because they were clearing the decks for the new B4. I just hope they don't make it using the CorsaCorta short stroke motor... a supernaked needs torque and grunt, not high revving top end TC-strangled power.

Crank figure?
Yes...just an estimate, last time mine did 153bhp at the back wheel (158bhp std crank figure) Ive since had the airbox restrictors removed last service. Need to get back and see if it made a difference...certainly sounds even more angry with extra induction roar spareparts said:
Yes - these were them at the factory:

Cool - I saw one of those Americas in Bennets MV last month, they have most of the limited editions in stock . I really fancied the 800RR back in 2014 but when I test rode, the B4 1090 was just more roomy and comfortable (virtually upright) riding position...which was a priority for me. Since grown to love it and no plans to change other than maybe for a new one....if its not a some crazy special edition £30k when it comes out....There was talk of the new B4 as F4 production looked like it completely stopped. So many lovely bikes. Are parts still comical to get hold of?
Can't deny they look awesome though.
Not had any parts issues myself. If you need something and a UK dealer does not have it there are a couple of big Italian dealers that seem to have everything ex stock.....at least for all the bits ive bought >70% have come direct from Italy. Can't deny they look awesome though.
I guess you have to bear in mind, these 1090s are an "old" platform and been out a while, one of the biggest sellers, so plenty about for them.

Sounds fine then! Probably one of those bullst phrases like "German cars are the most reliable" etc
A friend of mine lowsided his 2014 600 Gixxer and he's having to get stuff from Japan for repairs.
You do read about quite a few problems on the newer 3cyl models. But MV are a low volume player, each model made in tens or hundreds of units. Likely the first few years of sales of a new model then its you who is doing the beta testing A friend of mine lowsided his 2014 600 Gixxer and he's having to get stuff from Japan for repairs.
The inline 4 big Brutale was always based on the previous generation superbike so usually well sorted by the time it launched. (touch wood) my 2015 bike has been faultless from new and covered 8.5k sunny day miles so far.
