Heading in the right direction...But as the self proclaimed "King of Cool" (you read it here first folks) may I suggest the following...
Carbs.... Flatslides only. With mesh filters....You know it makes sense.
Wheels. Spoked or stop right there. Give up and push it back to the corner of the shed and take up knitting
Exhaust. That can? seriously? Noooo!!! it's a cop out and everyone knows it. Something more sympathetic to the design that flows and compliments an otherwise lovely bike.
Other than that, sweet. A Steve Bass 8 out of 10 which is impressive. (on a logarithmic scale so you'll never get a 10 so give up now)

Picking this up in an hour or so. A more gentle introduction to the world of sport bikes hopefully as only rode nakeds up to now. I'll leave today's 200bhp missiles for a bit longer yet ..
Nice bike those 954's. Plenty fast enough for the road, typical Honda build quality, handle beautifully.
Enjoy.

Love that, have fun I made a passing comment about fitting a voltmeter on the other thread and forgot to follow it up and elaborate. The only problem I had with my 929 apart from a stripped spark plug thread in the head was the stator failure mine suffered from a couple of times. This seemed to be something of a common problem and fitting a voltmeter allowed me to see when the charging system had problems. This meant that I could detect it rather than be stranded when the battery ran down. Solvable and lots of information on the web.

Flat slides and spoked wheels may be in its future, the budget wouldn't allow for them during the build. As for the can.. something like a reverse cone silencer would look better imo.But as the self proclaimed "King of Cool" (you read it here first folks) may I suggest the following...

My tuppence on the Z650. I think that the rear shocks look too big and heavy. The exhaust would be epic if it was a twin exit on one side like Moto 2. The engine could be better in black like the Z750. If it had fancy carbs flat slides would be all wrong for the Era. 29mm Mikuni smooth bores or Keith in 31 CR are the kiddies for that Era. Not a fan of USD forks on older air cooled either.
So a bit to go on from this armchair critic. Love and appreciate all the work but the items mentioned above would make it better if it was mine.

Treated myself to some new leathers for next season as I’m gonna go racing and only had my RST tractech evo 2 two piece for the last couple of years (which has been amazing for how little it cost)
Alpinestars GP plus V2; RRP is £899 I paid £575 which is a good deal for what feels like a really good quality suit. I’m 6’4” and it fits really good too:

A picture of my cherished Moto Guzzi V50 this morning.
It vanished overnight so all I have left is the keys, V5 and oily patch on the drive.
Here's a video of it in action note the unusual black exhaust - Reg TMM126Y - in case anyone comes across it please pm me.
