So why did you put the bike and the two girls in front of them hehe

If you're gonna clutch it up do it in 3rd or above, mine has nearly caught me out more times than I care to remember in 2nd.

Thanks - when I rode one before, I powered it up at 7k rpm in second and snicked third with the QS almost straight away - then it's as long as you like in 3rd and 4th.

Any top tips for worthwhile mods? I get it on 2nd January, but will probably leave it a year before ECU flash and de-cat as then it's only a year's warranty I'm wasting smile

Develop?...!biggrin

Congrats on the new purchase Pete...you'll have a lot of fun with that im sure.

Dealer nearest to me offers them new with a decat pipe & remap and states it doesnt affect the warranty but I know individual dealers can have their own take on this..

Looks low-ish miles cosmetically pretty tidy anyway, that said, as was mine but lack of use was the main cause of the issues I had..

Hope it isnt too expensive anyway, Yamaha do know how to take the piss with parts prices...

Blimey, you could really sell that on as "one careful owner" after all the scaffolding is removed.

Good luck with your test(s).

Thanks, fingers crossed!

It's hideous, but very well made scaffolding. The one over the bars ties in 3 times etc.

Whether it's my arse or the bike, the seat is very uncomfortable!

Congrats on the new bike 3DP, even if a bit premature.

Congrats pete, great choice.
Leo Vince de cat is lovely and not too obnoxious, get a can with removable baffle, you’ll need it at a track day, get the suspension set up, it’s very low at the back
Yamaha Heated grips are ok, better ones out there especially for price.
Change your front pads, stockers are crap feel, Brembo road and track are excellent.
Makes a great scratcher and tourer

I've changed the pads to EBC, fitted a De Cat, comforty seat and screen. I have hand guards and a tail tidy but I cant be arsed to fit them yet.

I have different suspension to you but as Andy has said get the suspension sorted,

I run mine with all the electric stuff turned off in the dry but if it rains when I'm out I turn it all up to max.

I've not had mine on track but wouldn't mind getting it on at somewhere like Donington if yourself and the rest of the lads with nakeds fancy it.

Have fun.

Thanks! I didn't actually want one just yet as won't get used until Spring and my Ducati is spread across the garage in pieces at the moment. This was a cracking deal - unusual for MT10s - and I opted for new year delivery so it's a 2019 bike (this colour and spec is unchanged for 2019). That is the actual bike as it is the last one they have at that price in blue.

Mine will be run the same as yours, but I need to work a way of disabling the orange light on clocks for all TC off. It was annoying on the test ride. This won't be going on track as the Blade has spare wheels etc and will be track choice next year.

biggrin Thanks Bryan. I asked about the decat and ECU flash and they just said if you have an issue make sure it is back to standard!! Might start with decat and PCV with generic map, but in 2020 go for bespoke ECU flash when closer to warranty end.

Thanks Andy and for the e-mails.

I'm thinking a Nitron shock in due course. Brakes are a priority as they felt a bit 'GSXR' when I test rode one.

First proper ride out since passing DAS a couple of weeks ago and choosing a bike, have now ridden a motorcycle a total of 7 times, including the CBT, DAS, test and test riding a bike.
So day 7 was spent enjoying a stuning day out on Dartmoor, bit chilly mind!
