I've got to say I'm a total convert. 140kg and 45bhp it a real hoot! Can't wait to get it on track
Wet weight is 163Kg, they added a load of weight (~10Kg) for the 2017 version which is a shame but I think it was required to meet the A2 power:weight limits.
I thought it was for the Euro4 exhaust as well? The advantage of the 2017- model is the digi dash.
I have a 1992 (MC22) model, it has nothing in common with the modern models

Congrats on the new bike! A very "new" bike for little money. The WR's seem to hold their value well

Get looking at Track N Trails as they are often down in Dorset, or if you are keen there is a funduro near Keynsham I believe which they are running on the 23rd December! Only £20 for the Keynsham one too

PM me if you do anything on it as I may have my offroad bike sorted by then thumbup
I will be looking to do some kind of enduro practise day or similar on it over the Christmas period. I’ll have a look at the keynsham one, cheers.
Drained the tank and put some fresh super unleaded in, gave it a few kicks and it fired up (battery is dead). Took it up the road quickly, I’m quite surprised how punchy it is, I can see why people say avoid 450s as an off-road novice!
Ordered a service kit and a lithium battery so should be able to put it in for an MOT next week.
They certainly don't hang about! Pretty sure all the Yam's are 5 valve heads too. I was seriously considering buying one when I went for my KTM instead as it was a price I couldn't refuse

I'll keep you in mind if I see any local-ish enduro days and hopefully see you out on one

Yeah 5 valve and this ones had the mods done to uncork it a bit and make nearer the power that it makes in the YZ.
Yeah go for it, I’ll generally be attending any enduro days I do on my own anyway unless I can convince my mate to swap the SM wheels on his WR450 and join me.

Indeed there is smile I had to blow it up to make sure, see who the 1st is to guess the bike behind, I have no idea but
he does look be to wearing ktm orange leathers although there's not a cat in hells chance there on an rc8r or he would be in front biggrin
McWillams was there on a KTM so it may be him. He was doing a bit of instruction which one of my mates was a pupil.

He came and had 30 minutes or so crack with us. What a thoroughly decent fella he is. He took the piss out of me for taking the 2nd pit entry which leads to a dead end which saw me having to ride across wet muddy grass with slicks.

Winner I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I'm trying to work on a few of my friends who have bikes to get out but Christmas always seems to get in the way!

Insured for £500,000.

Just out of view on the right was a McAMS R1.
Dean Harrison was saying the forks were £12,000.

Tarran Mackenzie is tiny !

Very nice, I'm not usually a retro fan, but the XSR's look like crackers.

Bah, friend at work uses his everyday (12 miles per day) whatever the weather (yes includes snow). Meant to be used not sat in a garage oxidising away.

Well, I haven't sorned it yet but we got a lot of salt and ice up here last winter.
I never really liked the retro look either but think it works on this.

Really do love the new GSXR.

I though the motoGP flouro looked wk on the previous models but I even like the look of it on that bike. I can even get past the front headlight looking like a Jap's eye.
