Have to admit I was tempted by the new Simpson Bandits but decided they just weren't like the Bandits (and Star Wars) of old. If Simpson did an accurate reproduction of the old ones ...........
The Street looks pretty much the same and the M30 arguably looks even better than old but they just didnt fit , the street was very heavy and the liners of both where very poor in comparison to the venom...M30

Continuing the street fighter theme ...
Always fancied a Simpson lid for tooling about on the LCs, having tried (but not owned) a Bandit many moons ago in the early 90s, I found it too draughty and noisy at high speed, which is fair enough as it wasnt designed for bike use .
Anyway, I decided I wanted one after seeing a few around but I needed to try them for myself, problem is there isnt a wide range of stockists about so I ended up visiting the UK importers (Kick Motorsport) today to try on the three lids I was most interested in, good job I did as 2 of the lids I was a different size(Street and Venom) and one of them crushed me conk a bit too much (M30), so I came away with a Venom which has a nice quality feeling liner, integral visor(I had to get a black one anyway....its the law..) feels light...and its street legal!
They did me a very good price as well.
I plan to still be using the Arai on the Firestorm and for longer trips but I love the look of it....
Good choice - I still remember the bearded badboys on streetfightered slabby GSXR1100s with white simpson Bandit lids in the early 90s. To us at the time, these were the real bad boy bikers that we tried to stay away from, not the H-D wannabe badboys They all had jobs like 'welders' or 'gas fitters' and listened to ZZ Top.Always fancied a Simpson lid for tooling about on the LCs, having tried (but not owned) a Bandit many moons ago in the early 90s, I found it too draughty and noisy at high speed, which is fair enough as it wasnt designed for bike use .

Tried out the gopro on the back of the bike this evening. They were gritting the roads which was nice

The front camera I've just started using (garmin virb elite) seriously needs something for the wind noise. It's terrible compared to the gopro so I'll do some research there
I had TC on 5 out of 8 and on the greasy poxy salt ridden roads the light was getting angry upto about 95...crazy

Thats a proper cool picture of your dad and deserves to be framed and hung on a wall somewhere so he can see it when he comes to your house.

Looks cracking, is it a regular thing, or just annual?
The Newark show is on ever year around this time but these shows are all on year round at various venues, next one is in Bristol in a few weeks.http://www.classicbikeshows.com/event/
