A picture a day...biker banter (Vol 5)
Discussion
Since the roads were dry and the sun was out for about the first time since I got the '47 Chief registered and fixed-up ready to go I went for a wee spin. And then another wee spin on the newer bike. Bl00dy cold, but both enjoyable in their own way...and yes, marmite...
If anyone's interested in anything more about the '47 and a few more pix I updated the thread here https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Did I mention I was donated this thing...?
It's a Honda Novio (no, I'd never heard of one either). It's proving a proper PITA to get bits for too. I've had to build the brake cables from bits of Such Maxi, Raleigh racing bike, MX 2 finger BMX levers and god knows what else. It's a total ball ache to get bits for.
But...
It started up and ran after setting points and cleaning carb, no MOT required, no tax payment required. I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do with it when I've finished it.

Its not a picture - but why idly perusing the local bike market I came across this:-

Have never seen one before. Just read about it here:-

Is approx. £165k converted. I don't think I need it in my life.

Picked up my new bike and rode it home as it started to snow again late afternoon. Its very big and heavy, and not that fast, although it’s kind of quicker than you think - it’s just the low revving car engine that makes it feel even slower than it is.
It’s excellent at keeping the wind off the body and helmet. Could do 90 and it felt about 50. I fitted my givi bar muffs before it even turned a wheel -took them with me

When Roberts was wining championships during the late 70's/80's he was being interviewed back in the US where the interviewer kep calling him Kenny Rogers. It's a bit of a nerd joke.
Well that's less fun. Seeing as it's the photo thread have a picture from my Scotland tour a few years back.
