Is there a parrot required, or have I misunderstood a witty reply also relating to Kenny Rogers’ musical career?

Yea, by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.

Jeez I’m wasted in here. But I guess I got to know when to walk away

...and know when to run.

Thanks, possibly a Ducati monster, fancy something that makes a good noise.

I’d recommend one of these for a first bike

Have a look at a Street Triple. Fantastic bikes, incredible handling, and a lovely noise. :-)

A 20-odd year old 600 is what you want

Yes, my first bike and a fantastic thing, but it didn't make a nice noise.

I guess everything’s relative, but a lumpy i4 with carby induction noise does it for me, and that’s just on the standard pipe.

VFR?

Thanks for the suggestions all - I've yet to see/hear a Jap I4 that really interests me.

VFR400, KTM 390/690 Duke and Monster 796 are top of my list so far... Obviously very different bikes but they tickle my fancy.

I suspect a visit to superbike factory to test a few might be in order.

Went out for a bit of a mooch yesterday, didn't pass all that many bikes on my travels, it was my intention to go to Southport after blackpool but the sun started to go down and it got rather chilly so decided to head back.

Love that bike <3

Just browsing gumtree and came across this.

If it’s the Malcolm I know he has some amazing bikes in his collection.

I don’t think it will be around for long

Excellent choice (I may be biased though...)

Anyway, as it's a picture a day I'll leave this here. It arrived in the post for me yesterday, I had a quick look, wrapped it back up and sent it off (with some multi adjustable, TiN forks I also happened to have) for a service, potential re-spring and set up for my bike

The fun will really start as I try to fit a shock with numerous remote reservoirs onto a bike that previously just had a shock...
