Thinking about changing my 16 Tuono 1100 for a 19 just can't make my mind up if it's worth it

Mine needs it's 18k service by April and will need it's second valve check by September...
A friend of mine tested the new bike against his old 16 Tuono and said it felt no different. He is probably the tightest most awkward no it all prick I have the pleasure of knowing , Check out your last sentence and get that thing purchased before yours goes pop biggrin

Cleaned the bmw and once over ready for mot

Having seen your work on here over the years I wouldn’t wanna be the mot tester telling you there’s anything wrong with your machines hehe

Cracking commute today ... so glad I braved the morning fog in the South and took the extra long schlep home this sunny afternoon!

I have not been far today and took my time as the roads are still greasy but initial impressions are positive.

It feels really stable and confidence inspiring handling wise, the MT 09 engine feels a bit lacking but not in a bad way, it feels more than quick enough when revved but lacks some punch when overtaking.

I have no idea of the weight of it so maybe that has taken some of the spark out of engine performance.

Hopefully I will get further afield tomorrow.

Maybe a spicier version with the MT10's lump would be better? If it sells well I bet they'll do one.

It looks quite interesting from an engineering point of view, just a bit weird.

260ish kg so a fair bit heavier than the MT but a lightweight compared to my Indian!

That’s actually not that bad, I was imagining 350kg from looking at it!

Something I’ll have to have a go on this year, not from a buyers perspective just something that looks interesting

Hi scunnylad, was the MOT today? All ok I hope?
It looks like you have the original mirrors (rabbit ears) on your bike?
I put the S1000RR on mine and now I can see what’s behind me without taking a hand away. A decent upgrade for sure.

If it's a good deal it's difficult to say no to shiny new... Is there anything that you desperately want on the new one?
Only the blipper and cruise control. I change typically from wear and tear rather than age though

First decent ride out this year, it felt warm enough to have a bit of fun once I'd got some heat into the tyres

I like the look of the Niken and would love a go on one, the MT feels plenty fast enough but I guess the extra 70kg's is like carrying a passenger all the time.
