First decent ride out this year, it felt warm enough to have a bit of fun once I'd got some heat into the tyres

I like the look of the Niken and would love a go on one, the MT feels plenty fast enough but I guess the extra 70kg's is like carrying a passenger all the time.
You out tomorrow Dave?

I’ll miss it - it was fantastic.
You never forget your first bike, especially if it was a good one and you achieved some thing on it!

Got one for the day on Weds

interested in your thoughts
I have not been far today and took my time as the roads are still greasy but initial impressions are positive.

It feels really stable and confidence inspiring handling wise, the MT 09 engine feels a bit lacking but not in a bad way, it feels more than quick enough when revved but lacks some punch when overtaking.

I have no idea of the weight of it so maybe that has taken some of the spark out of engine performance.

Hopefully I will get further afield tomorrow.
Also curious to know what these are like, I dont suppose the "average" rider that buys one will be overly critical of the lack of performance (Vs the MT09), I imagine that the supposedly extra grip from the front end is negated somewhat due to the extra weight but fair play to Yamaha for bringing it out, much more interesting than a 3 wheeled super scoot, I hope they sell a few.

It’s gone to another local chap to do the same job smile If the seat was higher, I’d have been tempted to keep it. It really was (is) a gem.

Still, there’s always the other nine to keep me busy! I’m looking forward to having a nice long sunny trip out on the GS, soon.

I didn't get far on it yesterday, I was supposed to meet up with Jazoli but there was quite a bit of fog early on and I just didn't fancy riding in cold damp foggy conditions.

I suppose I got a bit more used to it but didn't get any more riding impressions than I did the previous day.

I can say that you soon forget that it has 2 front wheels though.

I may take it out again when the weather gets better.

Finally got a Victory after being obsessed with US bikes for a couple of years. Loving it apart from it being far too quiet!
