Went mx today with my boy and did a day on track myself. Its strange I gave up 5 years ago and second ride back I'm 95% back to where I was before... Just can't quite get the ruts yet
Anyways I got a great video of someone getting it all wrong on a jump, crashing and then me running him over. I couldn't believe it but he came straight over in the pits laughed it off and wanted to watch the video!
If the below doesn't work I'll get it uploaded on YouTube

That track looks in great nick for this time of year! Where is it, can I ask? They re all rough as fook and mudfests round here, the MX tracks I mean, the enduro stuff is better as it gets hit less, longer tracks and more time to recover. Lost car/job and all that caper last week so ive robbed the Mrs CBR to attend interviews and generally get about on, not a huge distance covered so far but ive been doing roughly 60 miles a day on it in all weathers.
My admiration grows for these things, for a 20 year old bike, it does everything brilliantly, its a damn sight more stable and maneuverable at higher speed than my S1000R.(On occasion the "commute" has turned into a BSS race..) and still comes up well after a blast with the hose to remove all the salt. Certainly the finish is better than the BMW.
When I last commuted/had a bike as sole transport it was the early 90s and while ive enjoyed the drier days, the cold wet ones havent been as jolly now im a 50 something but its really paid off on occasions such as when the M1 has been closed and the roads gridlocked.

Like you, I've owned a CBR6 and an S1000R and agree. The 6 deserves all it's plaudits over the years, they were phenomenal little do it all bikes. :-) My admiration grows for these things, for a 20 year old bike, it does everything brilliantly, its a damn sight more stable and maneuverable at higher speed than my S1000R.(On occasion the "commute" has turned into a BSS race..) and still comes up well after a blast with the hose to remove all the salt. Looking good me old sausage. I guess its a relevant question as you do a lot of miles on the bike and i know you will do similar to the car. What ceramic coating are you using ? How does it fair durability wise ?
My only experience has been with C5 on my previous cars wheels. Real easy application etc but didn't last long at all, not what i expected. However it did last longer than anything else ive tried.
