It is indeed! It's a "real" sports tourer (as in, a sports bike that can take a pillion and has integral luggage). Until last year the K1300S was the best bike in that market. The K1300s is mo longer available and this, so far, is better.Biker's Nemesis said:

Something about the H2 (I know this is the touring version) that I really like. Never been a Jap or Kwak rider on the road really but seeing one up close they are really nice. I think knowing I had a supercharger on my bike and the big torque would do it for me
The engine is simply stunning. It pulls cleanly and quickly from 25mph in top, all the way to flat out. If torque is your thing, this is a monster. Try one! Birky_41 said:
Interested to see how the new bike feels compared with the old, I reckon even if its the same because its new it will just feel so much nicer. I reckon I might end up on a 2019 tuono at the end of the year unless there's some interesting options for a super naked from other manufacturers on the horizon .podman said:
Lost car/job and all that caper last week so ive robbed the Mrs CBR to attend interviews and generally get about on, not a huge distance covered so far but ive been doing roughly 60 miles a day on it in all weathers.
Fair play mate for the positive attitude, I feel your financial pain, I am currently self unemployed , for the last 5 years we have been busy with work but this is the only year we are slack, that's slack as in no work booked in I might have to consider getting a proper job if things don't pick up but I'm to lazy for anyone to employ me . Good luck with the job front mate and chin up . Edited to add I need to put the others half's board up because she contributes fook all towards anything apart from making a mess

Sure i've read it's going in against a 2019 model? Are there many changes?
Quite a few. Improvements rather than a all new bike. Revs 500 rpm higher, M50 brakes, cornering abs, much better imu with on the fly WC now. Cruise control, tft screen, semi active suspension, blipper probably other bits I've missed but yes it's evolved compared to mine which I must say really has been quite possibly the best road bike I've ever ownedmak said:

Yes new one is something like 4kg lighter. I've got 6 weeks to put 600 miles and get its first service before I take it Germany and crack a few laps of the nurburgring and gp trackI hope the standard master is upto scratch as the 16 was bloody awful and needed an rcs19 very quickly

My admiration grows for these things, for a 20 year old bike, it does everything brilliantly, its a damn sight more stable and maneuverable at higher speed than my S1000R.(On occasion the "commute" has turned into a BSS race..) and still comes up well after a blast with the hose to remove all the salt. Certainly the finish is better than the BMW.
When I last commuted/had a bike as sole transport it was the early 90s and while ive enjoyed the drier days, the cold wet ones havent been as jolly now im a 50 something but its really paid off on occasions such as when the M1 has been closed and the roads gridlocked.

So many similar comments on here, I’m tempted to start a CBR6 appreciation/love-in thread.

Looking good me old sausage.
I guess its a relevant question as you do a lot of miles on the bike and i know you will do similar to the car. What ceramic coating are you using ? How does it fair durability wise ?
My only experience has been with C5 on my previous cars wheels. Real easy application etc but didn't last long at all, not what i expected. However it did last longer than anything else ive tried.
I'm still using GTechniq... Mainly Serum and EXO these days. Circa 18 months from EXO, 3-5yrs from Serum. C5 on wheels is good for at least 18 months to 2yrs... so if not lasting that long then either application or contamination is your issue.I guess its a relevant question as you do a lot of miles on the bike and i know you will do similar to the car.
