Couldn't stand it any longer so had my 1st proper run out on the new bike since purchase today, cold but a 90 mile run out was doable, Roads not the best with plenty of st still being dragged off the fields.
I think there's still salt on the roads as well . Washed the bike again so probably going to wait now until things clean up .
You wasnt alone, loads of bikes out on the road today, despite plenty of salt but I too would be tempted to get out on either of your bikes...I think there's still salt on the roads as well . Washed the bike again so probably going to wait now until things clean up .

Throttle cable broke on the Honda. Got home by using a Leatherman gripping the frayed end and pulling over the throttle tube. Tons of fun in the Saigon traffic. Thank fook it didn't break next weekend on our road trip.
Thanks to Wemoto I had ordered a set of spares.
But what a PITA to change. 5 hours in a sweltering 40 degree basement.
Operating a throttle cable with a pair of pliers was a right of passage as a teenager eh?! Thanks to Wemoto I had ordered a set of spares.

I think id have swapped the UK weather over working on a bike in that heat but at least its done..

Like the KTM, which model is it? Im currently waiting for my Car to sell then im likely to order a Kawasaki 900rs
Just a heads up that they might be a bit difficult to get hold of this year. I was speaking to my local dealer this week and he reckoned he has pre sold all his expected allocation of 900RSs already. The one they had in the showroom was in the purple colour, it looked fabulous.

Yes I still own it,I only picked the frame up in the March so was built quickly for the summer.I painted it yellow the following year and then went thru several colour schemes and bodywork changes

Here's one for srob.
Norton catalogues for 1928, 1929, 1930, and 1931.
They were given to me, via my dad, about 40 years ago, by an old boy who lived near my parents.
In 1928 the top of the line sports bike was yours for £89 0s 0d.
Very nice things to have! I've a few Velocette ones kicking about Norton catalogues for 1928, 1929, 1930, and 1931.

I've actually been drooling over a mid-30s International (again) today. I'm assured they vibrate so badly your eyes fall out but they do look so good!
The old man had a 1928 Model 18 flat tank Norton in the late 60s. Someone owed him a fiver but offered him the Norton instead
