Nice work, recommended then?
Yeah, I have no one to compare to but I’d use him again. Any issues or adjustments required he said give him a call and he’ll talk me though it all on the phone to save me a trip back.
Happy with how it is for now though so I don’t think I’ll be playing around with it after he has set it up.

I also hope you have fun on it. It is a personal thing, but the looks do nothing for me, and I'm a big KTM fan. Something about the upper fairing/headlight cowl/windshield just looks weird to me.
I too am a KTM fan and I've had several (albeit dirt bikes) going all the way back to the late eighties and I'm afraid I have to agree there. I think it's hideous spareparts said:
Covered about 50 miles offroad today in Romania in perfect conditions. Some sections were extremely gnarly and rocky, others gravel and wet mud. Just epic day tooped off by a 50miler back along the ribboned tarmac of the Transalpina. Transfagarasan tomorrow.
Wow...so very jealous, what a trip...did you ride to Romania as well?podman said:
Stunning, cant be many around in that condition, rare colour scheme as well id say?
Thanks ! It’s in superb condition and a very recent purchase. Already been making it cleaner though, no use chucking a minging bird in a pretty frock, needs to be as good underneath as it is on top (Yes chain is slack as not adjusted yet in that pic)
Colour scheme is Jap/AUS and SA spec for the M. The 1100L came in this colour too.
This is my other one below which is more common in the UK. I wanted one with gold though as that’s what I had 20 years ago, so picked the gold one up on Friday
This is the old buzzard I have been sprucing up over the past six months or so.
I purchased it ten and a half years ago but life got in the way until six months ago. It has 60,000km and was a commuter bike for the previous owner. I've given it a decent clean, overhauled the carbies and brakes, purchased a number of bits and pieces, refinished and repainted bits and pieces. I'm still painting the belly pan. Sadly the big decal on the right side mid fairing is no longer available as the existing one has some gouges in it from it falling over at some point in time.
Also, the forks got overhauled and there's new brake discs (Braking Wave), lines (HEL), Nissin radial master cylinder, a set of Pirelli Diablo III's. I was thinking of getting a ZX10R rear damper for it (some years bolt straight in). It had that full Muzzy exhaust when I got the bike and that's had a good clean and polish.

Thats been a worthwhile 6 months id say, someone spent a few quid on that Muzzy system, well worth having...Had a lot of good times with my E1 ZX9, very under rated bikes , lot of go (and stop) for the £ ...I purchased it ten and a half years ago but life got in the way until six months ago. Getting a few more miles in around Central Bedfordshire, starting to feel more natural now. New levers fitted at the weekend as the old ones were pretty tired, otherwise just trying to get out as often as i can. Will try to get some lessons in soon and a theory booked, I don't necessarily want loads of power but a bit more to keep with traffic would be nice.
