I picked this up on Saturday – it's really rekindled my love of biking. I've been for a couple of post-dinner 50 mile rides once the baby's asleep, and I'm just enjoying aimless pootling running it in and lofting the front off every second and third-gear crest. It's sort of given me back the same wide-eyed, new-to-it joy I had when I passed my test 11 years ago. I have no real plans for it other than to run it in and use it as much as possible…
Lovely .. great fun i bet really ! I would love a 950 SP but i dont think i can part with my 1100Biker's Nemesis said:

They may take our lives, but they'll never take ourFREEDOM! ability to stop in a layby near as dammit on the site of the battle of Stirling Bridge. I gather that drain cover was running with English blood in 1297. Crazy decision for an army to try to cross that wee bridge; the one we crossed could have taken a couple of artics side-by-side.
We didn't do any raping or pillaging but we did dent some Scottish scenery on the way back. They may take our lives, but they'll never take our
Friday and Saturday pottered around Dumfries and Galloway as always the wee roads are quiet
Cycle ride on Sunday from Callander to Killin along the old railway line
The runs parallel to the main road that was really busy moving at no more than 50mph and packed with bikes. We chatted to a few at the burger van at Glen Ogle and most where heading for the Green Welly. I've come to the conclusion that some of us are not very adventurous and stick to the same routes, same stops etc etc

Talking of which on our wee run on Sunday I was chatting to a chap at our tea-stop in Aberfoyle and he was saying there's an alternative to the A827 (road on the north side of Loch Tay) from Kenmore to Killin round through Glenlyon with a tearoom half way round in the middle of nowhere. Had to google it and it looks like the Glenlyon post office? Looks like single track road on street view, but is it worth riding? I made the mistake of taking the road on the south shore of Loch Tay once and it was crap with waaaay to much debris on the road. Then again maybe the adventure bike folks would have lapped it up.tvrolet said:

Absolutely love it, in sheer speed terms its probably no quicker than the other halfs CBR600 but the grunt and noise while its working make it really exciting and gives that sense of occasion to it.
Brakes and handling are really fantastic considering the age.
Past 70MPH its even tolerable comfort wise, one for quiet evenings and early Sunday mornings.
