A picture a day...biker banter (Vol 5)
Discussion
Not overly exciting but my first bike, being delivered on Saturday (Doing CBT in the morning)
2012 KTM Duke 125, of course stickered up as a 200 I'll need to change or remove the stickers back to standard. & source some mirrors.
Bit rough but it'll get me some experience & I'll make money back, especially once I tidy up a couple bits.

Everyone has to start somewhere and that one should do you well, similar look to my MT125. Have a look for bar end mirrors, oxford do some for about £25 that should fit in a standard handlebar diameter, I've found them to give a much better field of vision where half the mirror isn't taken up by a view of my arms and shoulders.

Thanks. Really proud of my son who has learned to dirt bike. My (biker) dad passed away a few years ago, and would have loved to know that his grandson has gotten into biking too.
Here he is messing around, I'm guessing in the 70's.
And here he is with Elliot (my son) when he was 1 year old.
I recently rescued that Speed Triple (from a lockup in France to Ontario), so will need advice getting it running again!

Good call, there's a J&S about 2 minutes from my house so I'll have a wander up when I get the bike, cheers! moanthebairns said:

"Can't decide which non Harley cruiser you want" no problem :-)
Nice selection
I can only ride forward controls due to mobility issues.. don’t like harleys, so went for what suited.Nice selection
The Ducati is mental, the Speedmaster is soft and gentle, and the Rocket is just a monster.

Now I know why my parents go there so much! How did the cost of bike hire compare to hiring a car? Did they provide safety equipment?
Everything was dead cheap, we got a pair of open face helmets and that was it. The little Mash 250 coped admirably 2 up on some of the mountain roads, we even got up to the summit of Pico d ariero to see the sunrise for about 6am, probably the coldest ride I've ever done on a bike at that hour in shorts and hoody!
